My husband and I bought a 2005 Kia Spectra5 recently and the odometer disclosure that we signed said that the car had 38 miles on it. Little did we know that the car could log trips.

The next day my husband noticed that the odometer had a B on it and he didn't know what it was so he hit the button and the car had over 1100 miles on it. So I called them up to complain and spoke to one gentleman that stated that he would give me a call back in about an hour because the girl who sold us the car was not there.

So I waited for a call and never got one. Then I called back and got hung up on three times before i was actually able to speak to someone. I was suppose to be speaking to the sales manager but they sent me to someone else. I finally got the sales manager and he asked us to come in.

So we went back up to the dealership. They apoligized and everything and had us choose another car. Now, my husband and I were under the impression that we would be getting the same exact deal, but boy were we wrong. Our 1st deal stated that we would be financing somewhere around $18,067.00.

The second deal that we signed stated that we would be financing somewhere around $19,197.00. My husband traded in his car so that we could get this car and he was promised that they would give him $13,000 for his car otherwise he would sell it on his own and they agreed.

Everything was set with the first deal, but with the second deal they did everything underhanded. They went and changed the contract and stated that we would only be getting $11,500.00 for the car and didn't even tell us. It is a good thing that I noticed it and said something.

I just happened to have all of my old paper work with me and showed her the differences and the finance woman just made up some excuses and took the paperwork for me and said that she needed it. I couldn't understand why she would need my copies if she had her own.

So I called the dealership the next day and asked the sales manager to make copies of the old paperwork for me and he said ok and for me to come and pick them up.

So i went out of my way to go pick up the paperwork and you know what the sales manager told me, he told me that she shredded the paperwork. If she needed my paperwork that bad then why did she shred it.

That really upset me. They were just trying to cover their own butts. I just think that it is pretty messed up that Kia would employe people like this. People who try to take advantage of you just because you are young.
