Palmtree Investment Group Palmtree Investment Group Fail to return deposit $1095.00 Bakersfield California

My intent to lease a unit, met company requirements with a fee to review my application,  next was to submit a deposit  equal  to one month rent  $1095.00, I  was told it was a year lease verbally, the place needed cleaning. After about 3 weeks , I was notified  it was ready to be moved in, when I got there the place was just as I had seen  it during my first visit,  needed painting, dirty , garbage in the refrigerator and the lease agreement was for six months . I stated my concerns, I was told there would be no negotiation.I refused to sign the lease, and ask for my deposit back $1095.00, a month later I was told the deposit is not refundable, going to court.
