Many months ago saw and heard ad on TV (same ad continues to run on local TV) for improving computer speed via "free" cleaner. Had the scan done & immediately started receiving emails to register and pay for the cleaning. Decided not to pay and continue.

Since then constantly receive emails reminding me that cleaning is needed. Have contacted the company's service arm only to be told they cannot stop the emails. There is even a "pop-up" that appears when opening computer each and every time, day and night.

Should I be contacting the local TV station about the "free" service that is absolutely not free?

Can some tech person tell me how to get this notice to stop running on my computer?
