I bought a 2002 Honda Civic at Pikes Peak Acura used cars back in April of 2003. Sorry for the delay on filing this report. I just discovered this site. It was a cold April day and the entire month of April was pretty cold. I never needed to use the AC for anything. Exactly 31 days later, it was warm, I decided to use the AC...only guess what...it didn't work.

I thought maybe it needed to be charged so I took it to Pikes Peak Acura and they said they would look at it to see if it just needed to be charged or what. They come back about 2 hours later saying that the condenser was damaged and that I would need a new one and a new receiver/dryer unit and possibly a new radiator due to the condenser being pushed into it a little.

I figured "ok they will take care of it then". They ask if I want them to do the work to fix it and I told them yes, of course. Then they asked how I was going to pay for it. I said I thought they would take care of it. I talked to the manager and he said that there was nothing they could do after 30 days. It was on the 31st day. No lienience I guess. They said they wouldn't have fixed it under 30 days either because it looked like I bottomed the car out on something which I never did.

The car was damaged however it was done, before I ever got it. They showed me the condenser and it was completely crushed in from the bottom. This was obviously something that would have been noticed by an inspection by their people before offering the car for sale. Of course all salesmen say the same thing "Nothing wrong with it that I know of". Every time I buy a used car I learn new things. I also learn that many things remain the same. Pikes Peak Acura is obviously not interested in return customers.

I know I won't be one. They told me I should take it to Honda to see if there was anything they could do. Then they wanted to charge me 97 bux to take the car home with no change. They said it would have been 50 bux if it was something that was covered under warranty. I hate these people.
