This is an unethical internet "gambling" store.  You sign up because the advertisments are so alluring and give you a sense that maybe you well win an auction.  Within 10 minutes (after I (registered) I was out of "bids".  (A hundred bids for $60)  I was surprised at this because I did not understand th "bid process" and came to find out that it is a RIP OFF!

Usually, reputable companies will refund you payment if you had registed that day.  This company did not want do this.  (It does not even have a phone number to call!)  I had to go thru internet and request the refund.

Don't be like me and sign up with the unsrupulous company!!!!

QuiBids Response

AUTHOR: QuiBids Support Rep - ()

POSTED: Thursday, August 14, 2014

Online gambling is illegal and QuiBids does not partake in this kind of activity. Gambling implies the uncontrollable element of chance, and because every auction on QuiBids is customer-driven, there is no act of randomness.

QuiBids hosts a Buy Now feature on every auction.  This assures that no user, having participated in a particular auction, will ever have to walk away without either winning the auctioned item or purchasing it at the listed price.

QuiBids is accredited by the Better Business Bureau and has recently passed an independent third-party audit of our integrity and internal controls. This PDF file explains the audit in full detail:

BBB: http://www.bbb.org/oklahoma-city/business-reviews/internet-auction-service/quibids-in-oklahoma-city-ok-90016706

We try to provide as much information upfront to inform potential customers that QuiBids is a pay-to-participate site. If you purchased bids and did not wish to, we have 100% guarantee refund of any unused purchased bids. Please contact our support team via email at support@quibids.com or call 1-855-QUIBIDS (784-2437) and we can work with you to issue a refund of your unused bids.

We apologize for any confusion!

You may contact QuiBids by telephone at 1-855-QUIBIDS or by email at support@quibids.com. You are always eligible to receive a full refund of any unused bids in your user account.

We are truly sorry to hear this is your impression of QuiBids. We are proud to inform you that all practices involving QuiBids are in no way illegitimate. QuiBids recently passed an independent third-party audit of our integrity and internal controls. The following PDF file explains the audit in full detail: http://www.quibids.com/static/productimages/files/QuiBids_Grant%20Thornton-FINAL%20Report_2011.pdf

QuiBids is also a BBB accredited business and has been since September 22, 2010. We are very proud of our A- rating with the BBB. For more information regarding our BBB accreditation, please follow this link: http://www.bbb.org/oklahoma-city/business-reviews/penny-auctions/quibids-in-oklahoma-city-ok-90016706

When bidding in auctions on QuiBids, you never have to lose!  Though bids placed in auctions are not returned, you never have to lose an investment. If you win an auction, you will have the opportunity to obtain the item for up to 90% off retail!  If you lose in an auction, the Buy Now feature is available in every auction so that you can apply your investment towards the total value of the item. For example, if you bid an investment of $30 in an auction for an item valued at $50 and do not win, you may apply this investment towards the Value Price of an item when utilizing the Buy Now feature. So, in this case you have the opportunity to pay an additional $20 to receive the item at it's valued price. This feature ensures that QuiBids users always have the option to receive an item when participating in an auction, and never have to lose any money invested. By winning auctions and always utilizing the Buy Now feature in auctions that are not won, you will always be saving money on QuiBids. Hopefully this helps provide some clarification regarding your issue! Please don't hesitate to contact support@quibids.com with any other questions or concerns you may have.

He should be ashamed, not quibids?

AUTHOR: The curious consumer - (USA)

You guys are con-artists and you know it. You take money from hard-working people without a second and end up with extreme mark-ups with $.60 bids. I tried bidding on two expensive items from you. Both times, the timer went down to zero and stayed there for a period of between 2 and four seconds, so therefore I should have won. What happened then? Somehow more bidders came back and the clock reset.

Obviously, you guys can't let a high priced item go for dirt cheap because you'll lose money on real expensive products, i.e. TV's, etc. Just for fun and to test you guys out, I bid on ten more bids and as soon as the clock hit zero I was declared the winner. The difference? More bids cost quibids nothing, so the timer functioned fine. You want to get them back out there bidding just like a crack dealer giving a taste of his product. You know in your gut you work for an unscrupulous company, and I don't know how you sleep at night. I've already filed a complaint with my AG and contacted a lawyer, and advise everyone else to do the same. Don't forget, what goes around comes around.

BTW-If your company is legit and has nothing to worry about, why do so many employees offer rebuttals on this site? I wouldn't even bother responding to every complaint if I knew my company did nothing wrong. Are these actual employees or mid to high level management filing these rebuttals? Do you do this on your free time or at work? I can't imagine regular employees filing these rebuttals on their own.

The only comparison I can draw in terms of complaints and rebuttals are the for profit education schools, which everyone knows are a rip-off offering worthless degrees whose employees' constantly are responding to complaints. The bottom
line is that quibids is a gambling site, and as far as I know gambling is illegal. People's next calls after their respective AG's should be congressman, because we all know you are pushing the limit. You guys make Goldman Sachs look
like UNICEF.

My two (or sixty) cents.

Please do not insult us by referring to your shady site as an auction site. When was the last time anyone went to an auction, bid on an item, didn't get it and had to pay anyway.  This is merely a get rich quick scheme that suckers in people who don't read and pay attention to details.  There are several lawsuits against you and I would hope you end up having to start operating in an ethical manner or quit.  You may not be technically gambling, but it's pretty darn close and you know it.

You SHOULD be ashamed of yourselves but I'm sure you're not.

Disgusting!!

Please Read our Site and Know How we Operate

AUTHOR: J4me10 - (USA)

POSTED: Tuesday, September 13, 2011

I'm sorry you feel that way, however, I can assure you we are a legitimate online auction site and definitely not gambling.  One of our goals is to educate our customers on how our site operates, which is why we explain how our site works on our site, in addition to the QuiBids101 area.  We operate on a pay to participate business model where each bid costs $0.60.

We also state in our Terms & Conditions that we refund any unused bids.  Any bids that were purchased and used in auctions are not refundable.

I hope this clarifies any confusion.  Should you have additional questions or concerns, please contact our support at support@quibids.com or call us via the number on our site upon logging into your account.
