I purchased a new Proview TV "1 year old" and just paid this off and it was close to 5k dollars with interest picture went out had insurance took it in to be repaired and TV was lost or they said they stopped making the part.come on i want to speak to someone it has been 2 mths or longer and they either lost it or damaged it when fixing it.they want to give me another one in store that is used, scratched i paid hard working money for this TV Proview 32" expect a new one in box not a used one someone had that might go out like this one did,I have purchased a washer and dryer bedroom set a much more have been a good customer with rentacenter, always made my payments ect.. they said they cannot get a part for my tv sure. i need some answers now
Don't take your paid off appliances,tv,ect... to be repaired they will take it sell it again and say to hell with you..
I am not taking a used scratched up tv,what a rippoff,i am fighting this battle all the way
I am a 54 year old woman ,no children at home,my tv looked brandnew not a scratch on it,to beat it all i never watched tv on it only used for a monitor.
I bought a walmart off brand same size off brand paid 400 something dollars and built in cd player never a problem.
now if I bought the rentacenter straight up with cash it was close to 4,000 without interest, come on now what is what. no part how can a 1yr old tv not find parts for. LG proview website I went to and they have my tv their, they must think i am a stupid old lady.. I won't take it!

How old?

How long have you had the TV? You don't say when you started renting and when you paid it off.
Many modern televisions do go out, and they do have trouble getting parts for them. They will be made for a year or so and not made any longer. So you may still be able to BUY the TV but not get parts for it.
As for them replacing it with a NEW tv, the tv you took them to fix was not new, why should they replace it with a new TV? They cannot fix your used tv, so another used TV is fair.
You need to get out your insurance contract and read the terms and conditions to see what is required of them.

You bought the set used, and then paid it off. Therefore you had a used TV. The store lost the TV, fine. They offered you another pre-owned model. That's fair.
You don't deserve a brand new one. They owe you the value of the TV at the time they lost it, not when you bought it.
