Roku Will not stand behind product internet

I purchased a Roku 2 XS December 2012, roughly 3 weeks before their 90 day warranty expired the unit started giving me issues. It would freeze up and reset every few days and it didn't matter what channel I was using indicating a technical problem of sorts. I called customer service and was told to do the basic "reset" hoop jumping and to see how it went.

They refused to take the unit back in exchange, and the problem just got worse so I contacted them again and was now past warranty, they once again did nothing but have me jump through more technical hoops again even though it was clear the unit was not functional. Though it didn't matter they delayed things until I could no longer get the unit replaced. Now fast forward several more months and the unit is just getting worse and worse, sometimes resetting itself 2 or 3 times a day.

This company not only has a seemingly short warranty (competitors appear to offer a 1 year warranty or more) for a product that has no real moving parts, but will stonewall you until you are past the return period. Not happy with Roku, and while I realize electronics can have issues, it is inexcusable for them to not stand by them when something does happen.
