Signature Rent A Car Thrifty car rental Charged more than double the price agreeded pon Orlando Florida

I rented a car from Thrifty car rental in Orlando on line. The rental was for 9 days for less than $200. They picked us up at the airport and took us to the rental place. When we got there they told us we had to take out their insurance. We told them we had our own insurance that would cover the rental. They said we had to have a letter from our insurance agent. This is a Saturday night at 8:30, no insurance agent would be in their office at that time.

I told the guy I would have a friend go to our house and take a picture of our insurance card and they could message it to them. He said that was not acceptable as the document could be altered.

We were stuck without any other options but to take out their insurance as there was no place else close by to rent a different car from. They also told us if we ran a toll without paying they would charge us $50 plus the toll. Then asked if we wanted to buy an E pass for $45, we said no because we knew we wouldn't be going thru that many tolls, and we didn't plan on not paying any tollls. They never informed us that some tolls take exact coins. So the first toll we came to you needed exact change, well we had just come from the airport so we had no coins. We stopped but there was nothing we could do but drive on.

So instead of renting a car for under $200 we ended up paying $442.70. And that's not including the charges for not paying the toll. The employee, Daniel Rojas, was no help at all, when we started to walk away he started laughing while telling a different emplyee about us.

We rented on line through Thrifty car rental, but the name of the rental place was Signature Rent A Car. I booked on line but paid for the car at the rental place with a credit card.
