Staples fraud, wrong product in the box, no refund when returned Fremont, California
*Consumer Comment: What you do.
An open fraud has been committed by the mentioned companies in Fremont. I bought a 16 GB Google nexus from the store. On reaching home, the device did not work without a power supply so we took it to return back the device. On reaching the store , the store refused to return the product informing us that there was an 8GB tablet in the box that had some wires removed from the battery. So the store not only sold us a used 8GB Nexus in 16 GB box but also accused me of switching the product. This is an open and blatant fraud. I am a student presently studying in San Francisco and this fraud of $225 holds a large value for me. Kindly help me with this situation

The problem that you are facing sucks. The reason they they wont bring it back is because they thought you altered the device and which happens alot to corperate businesses, so you cannot blame them. You have to prove you did not alter the device, next time after you buy a small electronic from a store ask if you can open it and turn it on. Small electronics come with a charge on them, once you get it to power on you know your good. Companies make devices now days with the cheapest parts and labor, and we wonder why we have troubles like this. The only comany that I know that still makes there own parts is ASUS.
Now what you do about the nexis 7 that you own. Nexis 7 is made by google contact them and tell them what happened. they will either replace it or fix it at no cost to you.
By the way the nexis 7 is a sweet device I own one.
