On Friday February 12, 2006 We had our car towed to Stirling Auto Repair. We were told that the total cost of all needed repairs would be $2900.00. The next day my son went to the Army relief office and requested a loan of $2900.00. The car was repaired, and on Tuesday February 20, we picked the car up.

It was making a squealing sound. It was the fan belts, and the mechanic sprayed fan belt dressing on it, and the noise stopped. The next day, February 21, I noticed smoke coming from under the car. I looked under the car and saw a large volume of oil pouring out. Stirlings had the car towed back to the shop. It took 3 days before we found out what the problem was.

We finally found out on Sat morning, February 24 that the rear main seal had ruptured. Doc, the mechanic had his boss Mr Rob Williams call me. We were told that the repair would cost an additional $300.00. On Wednesday, February 28, the car went back into the shop for repairs. The car was complete on Friday March 2nd. The next day, the power steering fan belt snapped.

It was determined that the bolt securing the pully attached to the power steering motor was not tightened causing the belt to come off. My son also smelled something burning and found a wire bundle touching the hot exhaust. It was repositioned away from the exhaust. The next day the muffler became extremely loud. It was determined that the exhaust pipe between the converter and the transmission where the rear main seal was repaired was not secure.

The bracket connecting the two areas had one bolt in it and the bracket was gone. We had a friend replace the bracket and bolts. This is totally inexcusable, and unprofessional. This entire situation was bad business. This company will be reported to the Dept of the Army, and they will be blacklisted so that this does not happen to anymore soldiers.

The owner then tried to slander us. People just be awar of Stirling Auto repair.
