Tempted by the low sticker prices, I ordered from Studio Suits twice, and got burned both times. (I know, shame on me for giving them a second chance.) I ordered a wool three-piece suit from them the first time, and the vest was the only thing they got right. The jacket was way longer than I specified, and they somehow managed to make pants that fit like skinny jeans in the front and Hammer pants in the back. Probably at least six inches more room than I asked for. I voiced my concerns to them, and got no relief. Customer service is non-existent. If only they put as much effort into building suits as they do defending their awful work.

Recently I decided to get myself an odd vest to wear with my other suits, and knowing that Studio Suits at least got the first vest right, I ordered a second vest from them with the same measurements as before. Bad move. I ended up with a vest that had an extra 2 inches in the chest, causing the lapels to bow out like crazy. It looks terrible. I can't believe how sloppy and inconsistent their work is.

Even more disturbing--the day that I received the suit, they sent me an email asking why I didn't finish my order (I did) and to send them payment details if I thought that I already made payment (I did). Their back-end must be a mess if they can't verify this information themselves.

This time I sent them picture evidence, with measurements, showing exactly how they screwed up, and asked for my money back--noting that I ate the cost of their mistakes the first time. Their solution was to suggest I order again and hope for better results. Not kidding--this is what they sent me:
"We do work very hard for the products and quality we provide, also our prices are the lowest on the net. We have no reason to give you a waistcoat which do not fit you, you can also see the positive testimonials of our satisfied customers. Further we would request you to get it altered with the help of an local seamstress. You may require certain tweak to your earlier measurements, it's a part of this concept to get your measurements right after tweaking it according to your needs. We always store your earlier measurements and will refer it when you order with new ones. It is better to order again with the changes you require. Hope you understand the same and Co-operate with us."

Some people seem to get lucky with Studio Suits, but not me. I'm not the only one, either. If you peruse Indochino, Styleforum, and Ask Andy About Clothes, you'll see stories from dozens more people that got burned like I did.
