Texaco Express Lube transmission fluid flush charged twice for same service dishonest ripoffs St. Petersburg Florida

I went to this establishment (Texaco Express Lube) in St. Petersburg, Florida to have my standard oil change done. I had been there many times before. There were always great in the past.

I was told that I need to have my transmission fluid flushed because it was "dirty," "old" and it is recommended that it is done every so many miles. So I went ahead and had the service done. I was also told that I needed another service done. I told the employee of Express Lube that I couldn't have everything done that day and asked which would be more important to have done that day. He replied that I definitely should have the transmission flushed. So I went ahead and did it.

I told my husband a few nights later that I had the service done. He said that he thought I had had this done not too long ago. I told him he was wrong but happened to run across my last oil change receipt a few days later. Sure enough I had had this service done during my last oil change.

I realize that I should keep better tabs on the work I have done to my car but...obviously the fluid should have looked okay to the mechanic. So either he lied to me about the condition of the transmission fluid or they didn't really do the job during my last oil change.

Do not patronize this establishment especially if you are female. They see you coming and try to take you for all you have. I'm sending my husband to get my oil change done from now on - to another place!
