On 5/21/16, I went to TGI Friday to pick up food after about 20-30 minutes I ordered it over the phone. I waited about 15 minutes to have manager to adjust total with military discount. The assistant manager almost threw the receipt at the count and left after he fixed my total with military discount. I waited again for the staff who was checked me out. He was at bar area helping other customers, talking order and of course talking to his co-workers while he knew that I was waiting to pay for the takeout food and leave. Other staffs walked by me but only couple people said hi or asked me if I was helped, but not anyone really willing to help me. When he came back to check me out, I told him I have a screen shot of digital giftcard on my phone and he said he would need to take my phone to the bar area to input the card number. I gave him my phone and he came with my phone and receipts for me to sign. He just left like that. He didn’t wait for me to sign then he could take the receipt and he didn’t even tell me where my food was (Of course it was sitting RIGHT THERE on the small counter with register on).  While I was walking back to the front door after I grabbed bag, there were just two other staff asked me if everything was alright. I told them NO, I was upset. I asked the girl at front to write the manager’s name on my receipt then I could leave feedback or something and she apologized to me for what happened. A week later, my husband went to same place to pick up takeout food and learned there wasn’t any remaining balance in the giftcard that I used on 5/21, so he used 2nd gift card (the digital giftcard I kept as screen shot and sent his phone). That night I check those giftcards’ balance and both had “0” balance. I contacted customer service by email and I just received email saying $26.77 (which supposed to be my remaining balance from 5/21) was charged as “service charge”. REALLY??? I wouldn’t leave him any tip…not even penny for that kind of service. Also, the 2nd giftcard that my husband use should have $5.41 left as balance and it was used in North Carolina. Ok, this problem needed to be fixed as soon as possible. That’s STEAL…!! I am not happy about the service I receive and I don’t appreciate for this trouble. That’s STEAL from my giftcards. Whoever in charge should need to fix this dirty nasty issue.

How pathetic are you!!!! REALLLY - stating that they are stealing money off your "gift cards"""??????   AND slamming employees for doing their jobs?? I highly doubt that this is what happened - maybe you need to work in the service industry before you go bashing anyone.  Obviously this individual was BUSY " He was at bar area helping other customers, talking order and of course talking to his co-workers while he knew that I was waiting to pay for the takeout food and leave" - what is talking order????? Get a grip - you are not the only person in the facility regardless of your "Military" status.

I worked in this industry when I was pursuing my Post Graduate Degree and let me tell you - these individuals makes WAY below minimum wage and work their asses off!!! So be grateful you can afford take out - these people live on TIPS to pay their bills!
