When I first looked at becoming a PR- Public Relations Expert I wanted a quick route, I found Top Level PR School and thought it looked legit. They did not even exist just a paypal link which has now been deleted. Serves me right for falling for a scam.  Here is my advice on getting training on a real PR career path---

While there are no specific academic requirements for public relations professionals, many firms and departments seek applicants who have actually made bachelor's degrees in a communications-related field, such as public relations and journalism. Public relations curricula usually include courses in public relations principles, media law and principles, mass interactions and public relations research. If you opt to major in journalism, you study topics such as broadcast journalism, print journalism and foreign language, in addition to arts and humanities courses.

Take part in an Internship

Internships are a typical entranceway into public relations careers, according to the United States Bureau of Labor Stats (www.bls.gov). Many undergraduate public relations and interactions programs need or facilitate internships, maybe within a university's media relations department. As an intern, you are responsible for jobs such as keeping track of news outlets, writing news release, assisting visitors, taking calls from the media and guiding queries to the appropriate interactions supervisors. Internships provide you with valuable job experience and can lead directly to paid employment.

Build a Portfolio

A professional portfolio can provide you with an advantage when you're aiming to land an entry-level public relations task. A portfolio showcases samples of your most outstanding work, such as press releases, posts, newsletters, video sectors and presentations.

Look for Accreditation

Though not needed of public relations professionals, accreditation can assist advance your profession. The general public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) offer accreditation programs to enhance your professional image. The Accredited in Public Relations (APR) classification is provided by the PRSA, while IABC awards the Accredited Business Communicator (ABC) credential. Both accreditations need a bachelor's degree in a communications field, acceptable performance on oral and written assessments, a portfolio evaluation and a minimum of 5 years of expert experience.
