Tri-State Basement Systems scott anderson I am in Iraq TriState basement company ruined our basement barre, Vermont

While I was in Iraq, my wife hired this company to dry out our basement. We had gotten information at the home show in burlington. We were only told part of what they wanted us to know.in other words we were told that the only way to dry our basement would be to let them put in a series of pipes under our basement floor. The house we bought already had a type of plastic baseboard around the walls that Tristate put in for the previous owners. It had a small leak and was supposed to be guarenteed for life of the house, all owners. They talked my wife into a $4000 cost by first promising we could get it put in and pay nothing for well over a year. Then they called her back and said not only did we have to pay for it now, but that we had a 17% interest rate. They smooth talked her into saying yes.

What I am mad about is this-If they already sold the original owners of the house that they would "never have water", then why didn't they just fix the few drops of water? They took advantage of her while I was overseas. They keep trying to sell people more stuff even after you spend thousands thinking you have a "Lifetime" warranty. The original owners were older retired people who were conned into thinking they had taken care of the problem for ever. They were told that the pumps were too old and that they should buy another one for over a thousand dollars! Then we move in and we are told we need another way of doing it because the old way is outdated. There's a new way of doing it that's better.

They are telling lies.They knew I was in Iraq. I tried to call and talk to the owner and he refussed to talk to me. the girl there was mean to my wife and me. They are nice until after when you call them and then they clearly don't care about you.I told the girl i was in the Army in Iraq and she cut me off and told me that that made no difference. No difference? My wife didn't know what to do other than what your company told her to do!

I hope everyone in the armed service will not buy anything from Tristate basement company because they are very dishonest. we cannot afford to keep paying over and over for the same thing.I'm glad we have this place to tell my story. thank you
