Beware of being a vip for worldwise vacations. I received a phone call from world wise vacations to be informed that my information was drawn from who knows where and i was now some sort of vip through them.

My husband and i already have a vacation planned for the end of July which is four weeks away. This man that I spoke with along with my husband assured us that we would be able to use 3 nights and four days for $321.

Supposedly this price is suppose to cover some other vacation as well. We were excited because we thought that we would catch a break on the motels during peak season with this package. I gave him my bank info and he told me that another rep from the company would call me back to confirm. This other Lady (Casey) told me that we wouldn't be able to Use this "package" for our upcoming trip because we had to give them a 90 day notice before we can use any package.

I said "so this guy just completely lied to me?". She said "we prefer to use the term misinformed". After we spoke to her manager AJ, he assured us that the check would not be processed. Guess what my bank told me today. Yep, these guys tried to process the check.

My husband spoke with them today and they told us that the package was already paid for and there is NOTHING that we can do about it. To top it off Kasey is extremely RUDE! (along with the woman that we spoke with today. They almost force you to go through with it. She said well these are really good packages in this witch like tone of voice. Please don't fall for there scam like i did.

I think Otherwisw - GREAT Value!

AUTHOR: drtechnology - ()

They just contacted my grandma not too long ago.  I remember my grandma saying she filled out some contest entries at a few places in Vegas.  These sweepstakes are all over town.  I was just on the strip and counted like 20+ similar contest things in my short walk.  I think what it is they pick a new winner daily, but cannot be sure...

Anyways no matter whether she really won or not she took 3 vacation packages for $500.  As with any vacation packages of course their were blackout dates.  But who wants to go on "vacation" during holidays when ur supposed to be home with family?  And there were 4 weeks blocked out mid-summer which also is great because I don't like crowds when I'm on vacation, I like to actually ENJOY my trip.

That being said she was nice and took me and my mom on all 3 trips with her and the timeshare presentation, which was at only ONE of the 3 trips - as in 2 trips NO timeshare at all...  Was not that bad.  Just say no thanks 20 times and walk away a winner.  The airline alone to these 3 trips would have cost the 3 of us $2k... We got airline AND HOTEL included.

You Go Worldwise... These things are GREAT!  I don't know why anyone would call them "preying" on anyone?  Personally I can understand people my age thinking these things are a scam and swearing them out and hanging up - so if it takes them contacting the elderly who may take them for what they are, a GREAT DEAL then so be it!  Thanks again WorldWise for a memorable 3 trips!@  Wish I could buy some from you!

Scamming the Elderly is Not Something to be Proud Of

AUTHOR: tangledup - (United States of America)

Perhaps you have legitimate business practices in some sectors.  I would note that you prey on the elderly, luring them with sweepstakes notifications, confusing them with highly structured purchases and bullying them for financial information on the phone.  Worldwise Travel walks a fine line between legitimacy and scam.  I certainly hope your elderly relatives never meet up with anyone like your employees.

unfair slander of company

AUTHOR: mario g - (USA)

This Claim is truly unfair and stated without consideration to the dedicated employees that have worked with us for years and years.   My staff and myself have been dedicated to providing great vacation values for our clients since 1997.  In those years i have successfully serviced over 25,000 customers.  in these inconsiderate complaints they state they could not find us with the Better Business Bureau, we have been members of the southern Nevada BBB since our inception in 1997  (go to BBB.com look in nevada and provide our company name and phone# 800 357-6023 for the report). Our ratings speak for itselfand is satisfactory.  We are also members of the US Chamber of Congress and were awarded the Blus Ribbon business award in 2006, only 50 companies recieved that award out of one million companys nationwide (*go to uschamberofcommerce.com to verify).   In addtion my own crudentials have landed me in the WallStreet Journal in 3 seperate years as a Business Man of the Year by the republican congressional party in Washington DC.  In addtion I have been awarded the Congressional Honor of Merit (*the highest award to a civilian) by the president of the United States himself in person based on my dedication to tax, healthcare, homeland security, and social security reform with the business councils i serve.  I am an honorary state chairman in Nevada and I take my integrety and marketplace presence very seriously.  I hope those reading this will look at the big picture and not the slanderous statements of a few.  There are forty employees and there familys  who ask for that same consideration.

Me too

AUTHOR: Leann - (U.S.A.)

Something similar like this happened to me too. I don't remember what company it was. The only difference between your experience and mine is that I went on the vacations. The first one was a cruise to the Bahamas. It was fabulous. We had beautiful weather and delicious food the entire time. Then we had Cancun (to which had to be taken in a certain time frame of the first vacation; I believe we had 3 years to use it). Again, a simply wonderful experience. Here's where the scam part comes in. These people are trying to sell time shares. You have to sit in a 'short' meeting after they feed you breakfast at some fabulous resort or wherever. After the meeting, you are sent to another room where the pressure sales take place. They tell you all the wonderful things about being a timeshare owner. When you tell them no, they send you to someone else. This goes on and on and lasted most of the afternoon. We finally lied and told them we don't even have a credit card (this was how we were to make the down payment). We said we cancelled it after booking the vacation. We were allowed to leave then. Even though that day turned out bad, we did enjoy our vacations. We didn't get to take the last one which was to Aruba. Would I buy a package like this again? Probably not. Did the experience ruin my vacation? No, you just have to be strong and stick to your guns.

They tried to scam me yesterday!

AUTHOR: Mizmorris - (U.S.A.)

This same company Worldwisevacations.com called me yesterday 7/20/09 at Phone# 702-220-4951. The man introduced himself as Barrin Chandelor & told me he got my information from something I supposedly filled out on my honeymoon to Vegas. He offered 6days in Waikiki, Hw. 5days in Freeport, Bahamas, 4days in my choice of Cancun, Alcapolka, Miami or Orlando & 3 days in Las Vegas with 2 show tickets & a VIP Limo Tour all for the price of $698. Because I had already been to Vegas I was asking questions about what hotel we would stay at when booked. The man said he didn't know & he put AJ the manager on. AJ named off quite a few well known Hotels but he acted as if he was just guessing so I knew something wasn't right. They tried to force me to purchase the package that day saying it is a one time only deal, you must decide now & to give them my credit card info over the phone. He assured me they are not a scam because they are registered with the Merchant Cirle & BBB. As far as I can tell BBB does not have any info on them. Luckily my husband was not home so I told them they would have to call me back today because I discuss all financial decisions with my husband first. I am so glad I looked this up online. I am sorry for what has happened to you. It is very unfortunate, but atleast you are spreading the word so hopefully it doesn't happen to other people. This will be an interesting conversation when they call me back this afternoon!
