Altered Image Motorsports Justin Wright Owner took $10,000 deposit held it for 5 months then refused to do job. Bay city Michigan

In the summer of 2021 I contacted owner of Altered Image Motorsports ( Justin Wright ) to build me a 1946 ford hot rod truck. We talked about my budget and he agreed to build the truck and would need a $10,000 depost. I sent him the deposit right away. I sent him pictures of the type of truck I wanted and he said he built the trucks I sent him.

Justin said he did all business on a hand shake and says he is a man of his word. He sent me a build sheet of the parts he would use on the build which I was super excited about. We talked on the phone a number of times and he seemed as excited as I was to get the build started. Roughly five months after I sent him my deposit he was going to start the build with a finish date in the spring time of 2022.

On Jan 12th Justin called me and said my transmission was done and the engine was almost done. He again expressed how excited he was to get this build started. Now comes the Big scam. On Jan 14th Justin calls me and says he cant do the build and he would need an additional $35,000 to do the build. I was stunned.

He kept my money for 5 months strung me along and then just said to hell with you more or less. This is the bait and switch. After thinking long and hard about all this I think he never intended to do the build he just need my $10,000 to fund other work he had. There is no way this guy is so inept he cant estimate a job to be $35,000 over bubget.

He is just a scammer and is not a man of his word. I hope others who may be considering his business to do work will think twice and take your money to a business that is honest and has integrity. You will note you cant leave a review on any of his listings ?

Note the owner did return my depost. I guess I was just a bank loan for him but got no interest on my money.
