This company (Online Media Technologies Ltd / AVS4YOU) is SHADY fraudulent!!! They changed my music metadata to advertise their services. SNEAKY they added the following to each of my hundreds of songs.

THEIR website and
Encoded by: Online Media Technologies

My inquiry:

I noticed within hundreds of my songs that have not gone through any AVS program that you have added YOUR website and Encoded by: Online Media Technologies to those song's metadata without my permission. WHY?

Thank you for contacting us.

These tags are used to promote AVS4YOU programs. Software and harware mediaplayers don't show this information.

While working on the file you can change them manually in the Tag Info section. Please note that if the fields U R L and Encoded by are empty, information about AVS will be added. If the fields contain any information, the program won't rewrite them.

I do not want you to nor did I ever give you permission to change my metatag information in my song Library I want to know how to stop this and prevent you from doing it again in the future

Unfortunately, you can't change this setting. A possible solution is either to fill the fields with any other information or to delete the tags after conversion. This information wouldn't disturb you as it is not shown in the mediaplayers.
