Booms livestock Joe Boom I bought a horse from Joe advertised as 14 years old, when he was delivered he was sick and obviosly well older. I had my vet come out immediatly and check him, he had an infection and scabs and scats all over and his coat was terrible, after getting antibiotics and a check up the vet told me he was probably closer to 23! I text Joe and his comment was after 10 years old yo cant tell??!! Oceola Pa

After buying a horse off of Boone's livestock page advertised as 14 years old he was delivered and when he got off the trailer he looked sick he had a terrible cold cough snotty nose runny eyes his coat was awful I have the vet come immediately to check him and was also told that he was closer to 23 years old. He prescribed medications and a bill of $700 for all the work he had to do. This poor horse looks like he was abused he's got scars and scabs all over he also doesn't seem to be able to see well out of his right eye. After contacting Joe he told me that after 10 years old it's a crap shoot you can't tell how old horses? Anyone could look at this horse and tell he was well older than he was advertised. There is no way that someone who supposed to have his experience could not see this. Now I know why he advertises all over about as is and no returns. I hope this will help someone else, make sure you always go look at a horse and don't trust anyone
