November 9, 2023 My name is NGUYEN KINH DOANH. I am a tax consultant and a journalist. Our client is HAU THI NGUYEN (HTN), who owned VIVI'S NAILS located at 1905 S Western Ave., SUITE 7, Los Angeles, CA 90018. The business was closed on January 1st, 2021. HTN received 3 letters mailed to the address.
1. Caine & Weber letter dated November 9, 2020 dated November 9, 2020 mailed to HAU THI NGUYEN (HTN- TAXPAYER) at the address 1905 S Western Ave., SUITE 7, Los Angeles, CA 90018 ACCT NO. UNP-7713316 INDICATES A BALANCE OF $113.58 claiming RE: City of Los Angeles Tax Penalty Amnesty. (855) 326-7913
2. Harris & Harris, Ltd. letter indicates CREDITOR CITY OF LOS ANGELES OFFICE OF FINANCE PAYMENT DUE DATE $1,464.18, payment due date 01-29-2021 mailed to HTN at the address 1905 S Western Ave., SUITE 7, Los Angeles, CA 90018 RE: 62170535 (833) 480-8925
3. ALLIANCE ONE indicates AMOUNT OWES $2,075.43 DATED December 25, 2019 01-29-2021 mailed to HTN at the address 1905 S Western Ave., SUITE 7, Los Angeles, CA 90018 ACCOUNT NO. 52028921 (520) 627-9485
The new owner gave these to her. We contacted Caine & Weber, Harris & Harris and Alliance One several times and they have not responded to our request about where, when and how HTN owed them the money they claim. The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), of which some rules are cited below.
Under the provisions of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), as amended, I would like to bring to your attention that Caine & Weber, Harris & Harris and Alliance One probably violate collection procedures. In addition, this constitutes a due process violation, which offends the rule of law. Due process is the legal requirement that the state must respect all legal rights that are owed to a person. Due process balances the power of law of the land and protects the individual person from it.
