This letter pretty much sums this up. I received a response from marcusvip@goodsam.com because I posted a Yelp review online. I guess that must have hurt a little.

Hello Good Sam ESP,

I’m only contacting you because you asked that I do so. I never thought I would need to use the Good Sam ESP, but before I knew it, I did. Years ago, I was a Good Sam and Camper World member with a 40-foot Class A motorhome that had engine trouble along the way. I never had to spend money out of pocket to diagnose engine issues for, “lubricated parts”. I am in week 3 of a rental vehicle and I am hemorrhaging money. I am stressed to the core, and this is causing my sleep and my quality of life to decay, “I expected better from the Good Sam ESP”.

I have a 2017 Camaro 2.0 Turbo with just under 57K miles. It started with a P015B code, so I changed both O2 Sensors and the issue went away, but 6 months later it was back, “I changed them again”. One day I found oil in my air intake, and I assumed it was blow-by, so I installed an oil catch can system, “a really good one”. I thought this would fix my issue, but the cans were full after 2 weeks. I took the Camaro to Automotive One, and here we are. Your guy came out and verified the loss of compression and Good Sam ESP asked for a quote. Mind you, I never received a call or email from Good Sam ESP, and if it weren’t for the service advisor at Automotive One “Leon”, “I would not be in the loop at all, it is like Good Sam ESP doesn’t give a d**n”. I am not car stupid, “I am a BioMedical Engineer working on surgical robots, and I know how things work”.

I retired from the US Army, and I didn’t want to use social media, but the next blogs will include me in my Army Uniform with a caption that reads “Army Retired Veteran gets shafted by Good Sam ESP”. I will start from the beginning, and I will tell my story all over the internet. I am not threatening Good Sam ESP, “I am simply standing up to abuse by a large corporation”. I make my payments and I expected you to be present when I needed you. Honestly, so far, I am not impressed with the level of communication or concern for my issues. Why must I get my information from the repair facility? Pistons and rings are lubricated parts, and they fail, “sometimes for no reason at all, I am smart enough to know when an engine has died, and why on earth would I pay $3000 plus in labor just for Good Sam ESP to find a reason to say no”. I have the records of care for the vehicle and the Camaro is spotless in every way, “that car means everything to me. When I was getting ready for work, I thought about it and offered an olive branch for Good Sam ESP, “I will pay $1000 co-payment instead of the $250 I should be paying”. To have my engine torn apart, AC charge lost, bolt-on parts, all of this before you “the great Good Sam ESP”, decides to fix my car?

Is this how you are making your money? Good Sam revenue is reported at $562.2 million dollars annually! Do you get this wealth by signing people up and fleecing them when they need an engine? Well to my defense last evening the admin for the popular car club CF Mopar Mafia posted my story to its 60K plus members, “and who knows how many times that will be reposted”. I have no choice at this point, but to spend my time posting this everywhere. I am a soldier, I do not back down from battle, “and I expect anyone involved with my vehicle to be honest and reliable”. I asked for an engine replacement, with an engine of equal or lesser mileage. If you never intended to honor the Good Sam ESP “your word”, you shouldn’t be in business. For me, all I am getting is obstruction and added expenses“not what I was sold on the phone”. And by the way, “I called you”. Good Sam ESP set a solid precedent, so I decided to be a returning customer. I hope that we can get this resolved with a conclusion that restores my Camaro and gets me out of this rental car.

You read that correctly. While you are stranded with a bad engine and you are expected to pay for a disassembly, "these people hope you will give up, or, they deny a claim based on something inconsequential. I am providing a list of people profiting from the elaborate ruse. Buyer beware, "this is a business out to make money off of the back of good people".

Army Has NOTHING To Do With This

AUTHOR: Irv - (United States)

POSTED: Wednesday, March 01, 2023

Many of us who have worn a uniform or are still wearing one have daily everyday problems. We don't try to use a Veteran Sympathy Card because those problems have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH BEING A VETERAN. I highly suggest you learn to RESPECT that uniform and the others who wear it instead of crying and whining about your problems a d looking for a sympathy card!
