Coit Services Inc Nate Wohl, General Manager David Kowalczyk, Restoration Manager I had a fatal illness with a family in crisis. 1st floor toilet overflowed and left water in basement. Coit recommended by Benjamin Franklin Plumbing, now dba Paul Bunyan Plumbing. Coit got an invalid contract from my 88 year old mother. They did not give us their intent and removed many valuable items. Complaint: Unauthorized removal of valuables and family heirlooms, interference with privacy, financial manipulation of an elder. Family in extreme crisis, I had concentric glomerulonephritis (inflammation of the kidneys, a complication and relapse of GPA, where the body attacks the blood vessels). My inexperienced doctor said its complicated, refused to conduct proper test and refused to treat. Untreated it leads to rapid destruction of the kidneys and death. At inopportune time our first floor toilet overflowed, sending water to the basement. Plumber Benjamin Franklin Plumbing/Paul Bunyan Plumbing recommended Coit. My 88 year old mother wanted to help. Her sister had a second floor toilet overflow and flood first floor activity room in large condominium building causing a lot of damage and she thought this was the same thing. Coit went to her St. Paul residence and got her to sign a contract, which listed her as the owner (she has no legal standing) and also listed it as water damage. Coit did not check with us or tell us their intent. They took 77 photos of the house, went all over the house while the job was in the basement. They removed many valuable items and family heirlooms which were completely protected from water damage (our basement gets wet from time to time). They threatened my wife with house condemnation. Coit did: Interference with privacy, theft, financial manipulation of an elder, and violation of our human rights. I took this to Conciliation Court. Coit set the deck for an unfair hearing by refusing to supply their exhibits to us beforehand (I was unprepared due to this and there were major problems wtih their exhibits) and under oath they kept insisting it was sewage. They are professionals in the field. The MN definition of sewage and the contract say it is not sewage, but wastewater - sewage is in a sewer system or has come out of a sewer system. Due to their professional standing, I consider this perjury.
