On September 11th, I asked this company how much we owed for back pay. My husband and I have been renting with this storage facility for years. It has changed businesses multiple times in that time frame and honestly this has been the worse company to work with. They told us our total amount due would be $591.80. I asked multiple times just to be sure which I do have screen shots of all correspondence, if needed. We sent out our money order post dated by September 27th which was the agreed upon date. She acknowledged even that she had received it by October 3rd and then told us we needed an extra $245.90. My husband and I are on disability and this was a stretch just to pay the $591.80 but we didn't pay another debt due just so we could pay them and keep our belongings. She then told us after we told her we couldn't afford the extra money right now that unless we pay it they would put our stuff to auction by October 11th.

We're uncertain if this is even legal as she just told us on October 3rd about the auction. I was always under the impression that we had to be given a certain time frame that our stuff would be sold in auction anyway! That's literally a week and 2 days notice as she didn't say anything about an auction until after we had already sent the money order and paid in full. Either we would like more allowance to get this paid or at least to tell others about this companies business ethics as they are very corrupt and don't keep their patrons informed along the process. I do know that storage facilities do have to let the customers know when they are being evicted and we did ask every step of the way. We asked what we owed and no where was it mentioned that we our stuff would be put in auction. It is really disturbing and distressing to see a company turn especially on such loyal customers as my husband and myself. For shame on this company and all they stand for. No one should support them! This is how they treat a veteran and his wife.

A SeaBee speaking here

AUTHOR: John - (United States)

POSTED: Tuesday, October 17, 2023

Yep, a real life honest to God SeaBee.  Guess what, my being a SeaBee doesn't matter one bit in a financial deal. Contract don't care about our service to our country.  So go pound salt on that one.

Next up. You mailed a money order on the September 27th and it was received you confirmed on October 3rd.  Guess what, that wasn't the deal.  The post office doesn't post transactions, they carry mail.  It doesn't get posted until the party it's sent to receives it.  This ain't the IRS and your tax return sweety.  So post date doesn't matter.

Finally, they don't have to give you notice of crap.  It's a storage unit, not your house.  It got repo'd when it got auctioned.  Congratulations, your the proud winner of a residual deficiency balance and someone else had to clean out the unit for you.

Learn how life works and follow the rules.  Keep your word (something we are all taught in boot camp and Sunday School) and pay your bills.  Yellow bellied commie!

This tells me that yes, you ARE involved somehow. My proof is here. In order to even rebuttal to my complaint, you would have been given a link. In order for that to happen, I would have named you in the complaint. Therefore, yes I just proved you are either Division Avenue Self Storage or someone they shared the link with. Stop acting like you're someone you're not and actually be a Professional Business! Things like this shows exactly who you are and almost proves why people shouldn't do business with you! It's in your court, genuis.

Who are you?

AUTHOR: Lisa - (United States)

POSTED: Sunday, October 08, 2023

Ya right buddy in cyber world who can't even give an actual name. Actually, we agreed to the original owners who I might add were like half the price anyway. What I said, remains! And if you were really a veteran you would want to Actually have people care when you put your life on the line just so people can be stupid and greedy like you are! If you really aren't this organization then this battle is not for you so why don't you step aside cause you have no idea what's going on. My bet is you either are them or someone they know that they boo hooed too. Either which way, you're pathetic! They're getting their crappie money anyway so stop feeling sorry for them. Wow, they have to wait a few days. And anyway we already had an arrangement that they failed to keep to. That's between us not 3rd parties here. So mind yours, weirdo! My review on every site stays firm. I will say what I want. But you really should be greatful to veteran's like my husband who defends for pathetic idiots who have stupid judgments and no idea what their talking about! He's an actual hero! All veterans are and they deserve respect! So give it or the whole world will know you don't care! This is really no different than many of the big companies that now are getting hit for how they treated veterans when giving home loans. Notice how now they actually are getting what is due them? Mark my words, it may take time but if they do this to enough veterans, they will be hit hard. Also if they felt we were so bad and not loyal, why didn't they tell us this? Why did they keep taking our money? I'll tell you why. Because they were just fine with our money and their horrendous fees so back off cause we have still been paying and they can't take our stuff away! Like I said they'll get paid but I know you're just a dumb family member or something involved with them anyway! It's kinda sad actually, they can't even fight their own battles! Maybe they are the ones we should pitty. Here's a tissue, lol! Hate begits hate always remember that, it's where it's born. To you, Division Avenue, you'll get your money but all my reviews stand firm. Hopefully even one person sees it and goes to Rockford Self Storage instead. They actually care about their clients. We have Storage there too and they actually resolve problems instead of making bs excuses or back paddling on aggreement arrangements. And you will be on bbb too as a business who just doesn't care. If you don't like it, then change and actually stick to what you say. Otherwise what you are and that's just the truth. People don't like someone brings out their truth but if you don't like that truth then just don't be that! You know better and you can do better if you actually want to. As for us we're not making excuses and you know that. Emails don't lie. You promised we would be okay if we paid that amount, probably knowing it would make us pay more. And I asked you multiple times how much we owed. It was always $591 which we paid, not $836. If it was gonna be that you should have said it and not waited. Just take the freaking money. You will get the other amount on Tuesday but the whole world has a right to see who Division Avenue Self Storage truly is. And wow, I actually use my name. I'm not scared of nobody and neither is Isaac!

Loyalty?

AUTHOR: Irv - (United States)

POSTED: Friday, October 06, 2023

They agreed to provide YOU with storage space and YOU guys agreed to make payments on time, every time. Do you want to talk "loyalty"? YOU GUYS are in DEFAULT of your agreement to make ON TIME PAYMENTS! You can try to dig for any technicality you wish but the bottom line is YOU GUYS DID NOT KEEP UP YOUR END OF THE BARGAIN! Being a disabled Veteran HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS! Just how sick and sorry is that? You're using that as a SYMPATHY CARD to justify your DEFAULT ON THE AGREEMENT thus bringing negativity upon Veterans everywhere! Don't write back something STUPID like "you must work for them". I'll save you the time and effort and tell you in advance I DO NOT!
