Dodge Data and The Blue Book use shady sales techniquies and over promise results.  Then they lock you in to a policy you couldnt afford (but agreed to because they promised it would pay off) and do not allow you to cancel at ANY cost.  They use sleek talking female sales people to sucker in smalll conmstruction companies and lock them into these contracts.   I actually would have paid mine, even after I found out I was scammed, but my company almost lost eveything during COVID, we took on 100's of thousands of dollars in debit and are still fighting our way out. As soon as i realized this, I began to call and email Dodge Data to see if I could work something out.  I ran it up the chain (as much as I could) and was told over and over, no cancelation PERIOD!

Additionally, they kept very few notes of each conversation, each time I would call back, I had to start all over again.  There are TONS of these storys all over the internet.  Now I owe them over 7K, my company is hanging on by a thread and they are putting us in collections.

They are good sales people, will tought all sorts of stats, but in the end its all smoke and mirrors, this is a huge money grab that preys on the small guy.

Contracts

AUTHOR: Flint - (United States)

POSTED: Sunday, November 05, 2023

There are only two reasons a company would lock you into a contract. One is if there is some kind of large setup cost that they are absorbing. Two, if they know most people will cancel quickly. So requiring long term contracts to be signed, especially for something that supposedly pays for itself, is a huge red flag. If these guys really delivered such tremendous value, they wouldn't need to lock you into a contract. And yes, slick salesmen are another major red flag. Something that's a good deal usually doesn't need aggressive marketing.
