Drummond and Sons Pools Gordon Drummond, DAS Pools Abandoned a Pool Construction Project San Jose CA

I contracted this company to build an above-ground pool (where a large deck used to be) back in early 2021.  They submitted a plan for the pool to the County which clearly showed that the pool was to be a rectangular shape.  When they poured the concrete there were two enormous cement protrusions from the form that are very obvious and look hideous. 

These were not on the plan.  When I objected, the company owner said basically that's too bad, I need those areas to install equipment (a pool cover motor and a skimmer.) These things could have easily been installed in another location that did not protrude from the form.

When I insisted that these protrusions be removed or that another solution to disguise them must be found, Gordon Drummond refused to pay for any sort of correction and in September of 2021, he abandoned the project leaving me with a 30' cement form that is filing with dirty rain water, exposed pipes, debris everywhere, extensive damage to my property and a backyard that cannot be used or enjoyed.

And if this was not bad enough, his crews were like a maurading army invading my yard, with no respect whatsoever and no care taken to protect my landscape or anything else.  Heavy equipment crushed garden walls, irrgation lines, dirt was piled everywhere, electrical fixtures torn out, construction debris was strewn all over my property.



  My beloved dog died because he injested nails and metal scraps carelessly left lying in my driveway.  

In short, Drummond and Sons Pools is a complete disaster.  They are irresponsible, negligent, careless, arrogant, disrespectful and worst of all, they have left me with a huge nightmare in my backyard which now will cost me a fortune in legal fees to pursue them legally for all the damage they have caused in every way.  They are awful. 

I cannot  emphasize enough the risk anyone is taking in hiring them.  Don't end up like me.   8 months after they started, I have a nightmare scenario to correct on my own.  If you want a pool in your yard, run as fast as you can away from Drummond and Sons Pools.
