EARTH, Highlands, NC. We are a very elderly couple and were sold at high pressure and inflated price a $10k Submarine Infrared Light LED machine for joint pain. They lied about what it would do; it was not infrared, and it was meant to be for a SPA or a medical office where someone could lift the machine off the patient. nor could it be returned and our calls and letters were ignored. They use bait & switch tactics, overpriced items, no returns, empty promises, ignored calls. BEWARE and don't be lured in. Highlands North Carolina

My husband and I were high pressured into buying a machine from the cosmetics shop, EARTH, 370 Main St., Highlands, NC 28741 in June 2022. We were told the machine was Medical Grade with infrared and red LED lights which would help with arthritis and joint pain and rebuild collagen. The cost was $10,000. and the salesman said we could have 6 mos. in which to return it if we didn't find it helped us.

When we got it home there were no instructions so we had no way of knowing how to use it or maintain it; we also found out online that there were no infrared LED lights in the machine. It had red, blue, green and yellow PLAIN LED lights, therefore not medical grade and it's useless for what he told us it would do. Their sales tickets show No Returns & No Refunds after 14 days and when I mentioned that he tricked us saying it didn't apply to this purchase,

The salesman told us he had registered our purchase when he took our Driver's License but when we got home and called the Distributor we found he had not registered it.  We called the salesman, Ezra DeHaan, who didn't admit to anything, said he'd send more information but didn't, we wrote to him wanting to return the machine but got no response.  Nobody else at the store will talk to us about it saying that Ezra was the one who sold it.

We are 92 and 83 years old and unable to even lift the machine. We found out it is actually meant to be used in a SPA setting or a doctor's office where someone is available to set the correct setting, start it and lift the machine on and off the patient. We have spent months attempting to make contact with someone to help us.

There are many complaints on BBB, Trip Advisor, Consumer Alliance and so on, all regarding this same store and the different products that are way overpriced that women have been tricked into buying.  We live in Florida and didn't get home right away and there was no way for us to drive it right back up to NC so we want to ship it back but need an authorization. We have emails, cell phone contacts, everything documented. we're trying to find an agency to help us AND we want consumers to beware of this shop in Highlands and do not let them lure you into the shop.
