Gave us an estimate to complete concrete work and promised us the completion date would be end of June 2022. Matt failed to show up and asked to extend to early weeks of July. We greed aas long as he could get it done. He did not show, call or communicate until after my call in late August (Voicemail was left) and then sent a text that he was planning on coming over that day. Did not happen. Matt asked for another extension and the latest date he could complete work and we offered up until September 16th 2022. This date was definate as travels had been planned until 2023. Once again, Matt did not show up but sent us a vague text on possibly completing later September. I resonded to his text and said "we would like you to return our money". This would include $4,200 returned to me and Matt keeping $100 for any cost in creating estimate. I also infomed Matt that we had lost confidence in him/company. He responded "I'm not running a daycare, I am running a business. Let's see what a judge has to say. Since that time, he has not returned any communication and I have struggled to find him as his address is not what is listed in estimate. He then had a PO Box in Addison and now has a home without a mail box. We would like our money returned and agree to never do business with Matt in any way. I feel he induced me to give him $4,300 by saying this job would be completed late June 2022 and then repeated again to my spouse. This check would never been given to him if we thought his intentions involved getting to the job as he found time.
