Be VERY careful when dealing with J and A South Park Heating and Cooling. Normally I would never deal with a company that has such a bad a reputation but it's the only HVAC company my home warranty company said I could use. 

First off they are exetremly unproffesional. The guy that came didn't even take a look at my system he just kept trying to sell me a new system which would cost several thousand of pocket. I learned J and A does this because they make nothing from the home warranty referrals so they try and get you to spend money out of pocket on things not covered. 

He then left without ever looking at my system and tried telling me it was going to cost $1400 OUT OF POCKET because my line set was in my wall and my A-Coil was busted... I didn't trust this guy at all so I called a second company to take a look and they said EVERYTHING quoted was false. The lineset was not in the wall it was on the side of the house AND the A-Coil was just replaced and not leaking! Turns out the issue was a $35 valve that was covered by my home warranty... When I called J and A and brought this news to them they told me they didn't want to work with me and to find another company... Basically if they can't scam you out of money they don't want to work with you.

We are having one of the hottest summers in Pittsburgh history and I have a pregnant girlfriend and a 2 year old and this company deliberatly delayed fixing my AC for several weeks just to try and pressure me into cbreaking down and agreeing to buy an entire new system for thousands of dollars.
