.) Hired in good faith and was left with paint slapped on walls and trim not properly prepped, protected, or professionally spackled/taped but was later mind-bendingly abused verbally with twisted logic to shame the homeowner with one excuse after the next and even demanding that a painter should not have to prepare anything as "other builders" have everything from the taping/compounding and sanding, etc., done for him. This is unacceptable and nonsensical.

.) Paints stolen that were extremely expensive and imported. He liked the expensive paints and particularly the oil paints that were high gloss that are not available in the average paint he uses, which is usually Benjamen Moore. He complained about the consistency of our paints even though he "sold" us into hiring him in the first place after we specifically questioned him about his expertise in using very beautiful paints that are European and sold in smaller batches. He made big promises only to get the job, but once on the job forgot all his promises and stole the merchandise that we provided and paid for without a thought of ethical or moral responsibility.

.) Name calling and enormous efforts to viciously attack and confuse were at the helm of the game for this painter. It was a horrifying experience. It was always the Homeowner's fault and never his.

.) Demanding of payments by the hour after he got on the job when we specifically told him to give us a price for each room when we interviewed him for the job that he really pushed for to get as it was going into Winter and it was a cushy indoor job with the homeowners moved out of the home. The children's rhyme of "The mice will play when the cat's away" is appropriate here. He was a puzzle and a constant moving target of deception.

.) Left the expensive cans of paint OPEN at night with no clean up and left me to clean up at night after a long day of my own work to only find disarray at my home and such disrespect of my property and the beautiful project I was promised would be properly cared for and professionally handled.

.) Would never hire again and would never recommend due to the harrassment, stolen paints, terrible workmanship, lack of care for my home and property, and never-ending circle of deception.

.) Don't be fooled by the private, for-profit business called the Better Business Bureau, who only takes a yearly membership from any business and will literally look "the other way" and does nothing for the consumer. They offered this painter an A+ rating AFTER I filed a complaint about the horrifying experience I had but he was not YET a Member of the BBB... so this was a new "Client" for them that all my Complaint did was hand them a new Membership. Fraud and Deception is all over the home improvement industry, and the BBB helps to keep this fraud going with their own destructive racketeering practices.
