I drove 5 hours to and from Manhasset, NY at least 4 times for a custom gown by Karen Sabag.

She never seemed prepared and waited until the week before my wedding to do beading and embellishments for my dress. The dress came out horribly and was not like the sketch she gave me over 4 months earlier! 

I got the dress appraised and it was worth $800-$900 despite her charging me $7000! Karen gave me the cheapest materials possible. She told me that I had expensive Chantilly lace from France but the lace was so old and the amount used so small that every appraiser said "cheap"!!!

There was a hole in the lace! The embellishments were few and she told me at my initial consultation that pearls would be added to the finished product but she didn't put the pears on the sample cutout she gave me and she lied about it later saying she even added pearls! We agreed pearls would be on it at the initial consult!

The train was tapered not flared!

The sleeves were cheap and easily stretched out of shape!

The sleeve dimensions were not as agreed!

The buttons on the back of the gown were sloppily sewn and misaligned!

There were traces of thread in the bodice on the back of the gown.

The train was not finished but instead pinned.

I returned the dress and she now has the dress and my money! Stay away!
