KEPRO - BFCC-QIO - Medicare Quality Improvement Organization KEPRO - Totally Failed to Investigate My Complaint Against a Wyoming Neurologist. Never Gave My Complaint Any Consideration, and Just Sided with the the Neurologist Who Harmed Me Elkridge Maryland

KEPRO - BFCC-QIO - is SUPPOSED to be a Medicare Quality Improvement Organization that is SUPPOSED to help Medicare patients who have serious issues with the Quality of Care they received by a doctor or hospital.

Medicare tells its insured TO FILE A COMPLAINT WHEN THEY THINK THE STANDARD OF CARE HAS BEEN BAD AND IF THEY FEEL A DOCTOR OR HOSPITAL HAS OVERBILLED AND PERFORMED UNNECESSARY TESTS.

SOUNDS GOOD, RIGHT?   WRONG, WRONG AND WRONG.

My experience with KEPRO proves that they are NOTHING MORE THAN A PROTECTION AGENCY FOR THE DOCTOR AND HOSPITAL AND CERTAINLY NOT, I REPEAT, NOT - HELPING THE PATIENT WHO HAS MADE THE COMPLAINT.

In fact, just filing a complaint with KEPRO, will end up with YOU, feeling more angry and frustrated than you were before you file this complaint.

Believe what I say.  Doctors know this.  Hospitals know this.  That is why it is so difficult for a patient and citizen to get any kind of resolution with doctors and hospitals in the USA.  The plain fact is, the doctors and hospitals do NOT CARE about patient complaints.  WHY SHOULD THEY?  AFTER ALL, THEY HAVE KEPRO TO PROTECT THEM.

HERE IS MY STORY.  Read it and you will see my point.  I also invite anyone out there, who has also felt that KEPRO has NOT taken their complaint seriously and even made matters worse for them.

Back in October, 2023, I made the mistake of going to a Gillette, Wyoming neurologist for long term problems with my neck on the upper left side.

This so called "doctor" recommended the injectible drug BOTOX to relax the muscles in that one spot.  In other words, the botox was supposed to be a trigger point injection.

Come mid December, my husband and I went to the doctor's office to get the single injection of botox, hoping it would work.  We put our full trust in him.

To my shock, this doctor kept injecting the entire vial of botox, willy nilly, into all parts of my neck, both right and left sides.

When I asked him WHY he did this, this poor excuse for a doctor replied,  I NEED TO USE THE ENTIRE VIAL SO I CAN BILL MEDICARE FOR ALL OF IT.

No regard for my safety, just the almighty dollar.

About 3 days later, I could not lift up my head and was in great pain.  The doctor's office, did not give a damm, and that is the truth.

Now, BOTOX, is a dangerous drug and one that the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) requires that the doctor FULLY DISCUSS THE SIDE EFFECTS OF THE DRUG AND HAS THE PATIENT SIGN A WRITTEN CONSENT SAYING THAT THEY UNDERSTAND THE SIDE EFFECTS.

This doctor, failed to comply with the FDA requirements and KEPRO SEEMS TO FEEL HE IS RIGHT.

SOMETHING IS GRAVELY WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE.

I was unable to get any financial relief from this doctor.  The lawyers I contacted, either had a conflict of interest, or were just plain lazy.  One law firm kept me strung along for 9 months without even taking on my case.

I had to spend money on accupuncture, physical therapy, and seeing 2 other doctors, one of whom was just as bad as this neurologist.

NEWS FLASH:  Most Doctors will NOT go against another doctor, even if they know that doctor is in the wrong!!!  Why, because they stick together, like a brotherhood.  Unless they are paid court witnesses, they will almost always go against the patient.

Did you ever hear the saying YOU CANNOT FIGHT CITY HALL.  WELL THE SAME GOES FOR THIS.  YOU CANNOT FIGHT A DOCTOR OR HOSPITAL UNLESS YOU HAVE A VERY COMPETANT LAWYER  GOOD LUCK IN FINDING ONE.

Now, I filed a complaint against the neurologist with Medicare and all they could tell me to do was to file a QUALITY OF CARE COMPLAINT WITH KEPRO.

Since hindsight is 20/20, this action was and is a BIG WASTE OF TIME.

I took the time to write up a very good and very detailed complaint with Kepro.  The people there I spoke to all acted like they are on the side of the patient and will fully investigate the complaint.  As they claim they take every complaint seriously.

WELL WHAT KEPRO REALLY DOES IS VERY FAR FROM THE TRUTH AND WHAT THEY CLAIM TO DO.

To make a long story shorter, what happened, after several months of misery is that THEY GOT THE DOCTORS MEDICAL RECORDS, WHICH WERE FULL OF LIES AND DISTORTIONS OF THE REAL TRUTH.

After all, no doctor out there, is going to admit any type of fault.  NO SIR!

Part of the report from this lying doctor was to say that INFORMED CONCENT WAS GIVEN TO THE PATIENT.

That is a bald face lie!!!

There is no documentation that was given to me to sign and understand, BEFORE this so called "doctor" jacked my neck up with botox.

He could have killed me, with this drug that contains a poison, and KEPRO DOES NOT GIVE A HOOT.

KEPRO, just sided with the doctor - believing his words on a false medical record report.

He did not have to provide proof of complying with the FDA - NOTHING - JUST HIS WORD WAS GOOD ENOUGH FOR KEPRO.

I argued with the so called, INVESTIGATOR OF KEPRO,  I saiid  SHOW ME PROOF THAT HE GAVE ME FULL DISCLOSURE ON BOTOX.  SHOW ME SOMTHING I SIGNED.

They could not do so and that did not matter to them.  Here is the lame excuse I got from KERPRO.

WELL THE DOCTOR SAID, IN HIS MEDICAL RECORDS, THAT HE GAVE YOU INFORMED CONSENT AND THAT IS GOOD ENOUGH FOR THEM.

KEPRO CHOSE TO BELIEVE THIS DOCTOR AND NOT ME!!!

HE DID NOT HAVE TO PROVE A THING.

THIS IS WHY I SAY THAT KEPRO IS RUNNING A PROTECTION RACQUET FOR THE DOCTORS AND NOT THE PATIENT.

You readers out there, should know that any complaint against a doctor or hospital is reviewed by OTHER DOCTORS.

YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING ARE LESS THAN 1%.  As I stated before, doctors do not go against other doctors, and that is the truth.

Asking other doctors to decide cases when a patient complains about another doctor is like asking the FOX TO GUARD THE HEN HOUSE.

This entire experience has been very stressful for me and there seems to be no help anywhere.

This is why I am writing this truthful report on this website, so the real story gets out there for anyone to see.
