contacted this firm in Nov 2021, looking for a law firm to take a complex class action case against a predatory for profit education scheme. The associate lawyer who I began to work with was a strong aggressive attorney and not at fault, that's why I will not name him in this review. After working with this associate lawyer for several months, he believes our case is solid and has the students engage in investigative research , placing the data in excel format. When this associate lawyer approached his managing attorney/partner , named John, he arranged a phone conference, which I happened to accept around Feb 2022. Unbeknown to myself and the other students, attending this phone conference was the managing partner from a completely different law firm, an attorney by the name of Frank Schirripa. After the phone conference , Frank seemed skeptical but seemed interested in taking the case, despite his firm profile that seemed to lack civil rights type cases such as our student group. The associate at Lento Law, told us that Frank was taking over the case and to contact him. After another two months went by, I briefly spoke with Frank over the phone and he claimed his firm was taking the case. Frank claimed he wanted me to meet one of his associate lawyers in person, who I assumed was going to represent us. When I attended the meeting in April 2022, his firm did a complete 180, claiming the case was not winnable and was not going to take the case forward. It seems there was no need for an in person meeting if they had made some internal decision to decline the case. I then contacted this associate from Lento law and basically ended up arguing with him over the other firm's depiction and his claims that Frank S was my lawyer. After several more months , around Aug 2022, lento offered an absolute joke of a retainer agreement, which  no legitimate law firm serious about litigating a case such as this would offer.  Six plus months of discussion, communication and hard work on behalf of students were wasted, and while I do not completely blame Lento Law, they were responsible for recommending Frank S, allowing him to decide the viability of the case when he was not even an employee of Lento, and lying to the students on several occasions.
