Marcela Mingoti, a New Zealander with Sardinian mafia roots who failed her chartered accountant's examinations so many times she was begged by the examiners not to resit them again, is boss of its operations.

With the benefit of Marcela's inside knowledge of working with criminals, Ngā Tāngata Microfinance ganged up with their partners in crime (some of whom are unaware do the company's true nature), Kiwibank, Auckland Foundation, FinCap, Foundation North and Rata to unleash a pattern of financial onslaught on the needy that is truly despicable. The way this works is that NGA asks the "needy" to approach them for loans. Very few applicants get any money in their hands but NGA's accounts show a different story for its backers' money.
