Mediation Processing Services Scam!!! They are trying to collect from a payday loan I paid off 12 years ago!!’ Jacksonville FL

I received texts and recorded phone calls from Mediation processing services (website www.mediationprocessingservices.com) threatening legal action and liens from a payday loan I took out in 2009 if I don’t pay them. I told them that the loan was paid off in 2009. They told me that the loan was through Advance America for $450 which is now $21000 and if I don’t settle within a week they will file a lien to freeze my bank account with the state. Teresa from mediation processing services (904-541-8374) told me that Advance America never received payment.

I called Jefferson bank in San Antonio, TX because they were the bank the issued the payment on the loan through Advance America. Jefferson bank told me that they don’t keep records that far back to 2009 and that it sounds like a scam. Also if this did go to court the bank can only look back 7 years. I called Advance America and they said that if I owed them money or if they never got paid they wouldn’t wait 12 years to collect and that they don’t file liens on payday loans. I want these harassing calls and texts to stop.
