Michael Calvo of Calvo Mechanical of Hermitage Tennessee purchased a large amount of gold jewelry from us online. Once received he kept the gold filed a false chargeback claim. We agreed to take the gold back.

He kept the gold and mailed back a empty box keeping the real gold. After filing a police report we learned of this person's extensive criminal history.

Hey guys. I want to point out a couple things; One, we don't buy or sell jewels or gold. Two this report will never get a reply from the original poster, and most definitely will never have proof of any of the claims here, because they are not true. We thought it would be as easy as asking for the supposed "report" to be removed. That's when we realized the website and people we are dealing with. This site will not remove a listing but will offer a "program" to pay (in our case) over $6000 up front plus over $140 per month and if you stop paying? Well they revert it all. So Yes perfect name for the site. Google this site and find legitimate info and you will see. As for the listing it does in fact include the correct number for our business so feel free to call if your in need of Heating, Cooling or Ventilation service repair or sales.

Lastly please feel free to call us with any questions or concerns. And search us up on the BBB or call any previous client and you will quickly see we are a legitimate heating and a/c contractor. With no complaints filed EVER. So no rip off report it is not "inevitable" that a customer will complain. Not when you do quality work and go above and beyond. Thanks for the Ad. Notice how rip off report tries to "bury" legit comments by rambling on and on so that their "reply" is so long that it pushes your true comments way down to the bottom. My reply wasn't even about the site. Why would they reply. FAKE FAKE FAKE BS Site, Run by POS

#3 General Comment

Ripoff Report Responds to Comment #1 and #2

AUTHOR: Ripoff - (United States)

POSTED: Tuesday, December 08, 2020

EDITOR'S REBUTTAL COMMENT:

We are responding specifically to Comment #1 and Comment #2 to this Report.

We didn't have to post these Rebuttal Comments, but Ripoff Report strongly believes in the First Amendment, even when it is about us.  We believe that all businesses will get complaints – deserved or not.  After all, no one can please 100% of the population 100% of the time ... and sometimes people, in general, just suck to varying degrees.

Yes, we have Terms of Service that we expect our users to abide by but much like a speed limit sign, people will abide by the speed limit to varying degrees.  And, unlike a speed limit sign where police officers have radar guns and can tell when someone is speeding, when it comes to content online, we don’t have a way to tell who is telling the truth.  Contrary to some people’s thoughts, Ripoff Report is not an arbiter of facts.  We are not a judge and jury to hear witness testimony, examine supporting evidence, and to be able to question the authenticity of the evidence presented.  Could you imagine if such work had to be done for every single post?  Ever looked up the longest trial in US history?  Let’s be real … that would be practically and financially impossible.  As such, when one party says something is true, and the other party says something is false, we have no way of knowing what the actual, true, story is.

With our limitations in mind, we allow parties, for free, the ability to post Reports and make comments in response to the Report, either supporting the Report, or telling a different side – that perhaps the information is false, that there is mistaken identity, and so on.  Anyone with information to share can weigh in.  More importantly, anyone who reviews the Report will have an opportunity to hear another person’s side or perspective, and make a decision for themselves about what weight, if any, to give the posts.

We certainly encourage users to “set the record straight” and tell their side of the story by using the free methods available to them, which are outlined on our FAQs page before they consider other paid Ripoff Report Programs & Services.  Sometimes a well worded Rebuttal Comment is all that is needed.  In other times, perhaps a individual or business complained of in a Report will look for something more – be it a Program (which has varying benefits) through Ripoff Report or by seeking other more traditional routes, such as contacting an attorney regarding potential defamation claims.  Even then, Ripoff Report has provided a host of information (Subpoena Process, info about our Court Order Policy, etc.) to assist parties considering taking legal action in response to a post written on Ripoff Report on our Legal Issues page.

We understand that people are going to get upset based upon our long standing general non-removal position, but we believe our heart is in the right place.  In fact, our website explains why we don’t remove reports

Here it sounds like, from the Comments made, that this person wanted us to simply take their word that the content isn’t accurate and remove it.  We’ve explained why we can’t just unilaterally accept such statement.  We’re not saying this person is wrong … indeed there is a chance that the post could be inaccurate … but either way, we don’t know what the truth is and we can’t simply take the word of one over another.  Moreover, it appears that this person may have applied for our Corporate Advocacy Program.  Indeed, it is our most expensive program because it takes the most work and arguably has the most benefits associated with it.  Just see the general benefits list for the Corporate Advocacy Program for yourself.

We continue to encourage people to conduct their own research, from multiple sources, before making determinations about the integrity of a person or business.  Now more than ever it is important that people do that.

In any event, if you made it this far we thank you for reading our response to Comments #1 and #2 and hope that now you have had an opportunity to consider Ripoff Report’s perspective too.

Common Sense

The report associated with this response is a hoax. And If not I demand that the author provide some proof that the transaction/event really happened. I do not buy or sell gold or jewelry. I have never had a business transaction with anyone in California or any other state than TN. My customers and client in the industry are happy and I provide quality work.

Feel free to search up my listings in a reputable website / business such as the BBB. Or call me personally and I will be happy to discuss any questions. I'm closing I'm not sure who or why this listing has my information in it but They have the wrong person apparently. Also this site was no help and wanted over $7000 plus $100 a month to "remove" this listing . So you tell me what's really going on. Seems they have the most to gain from all this.
