Buyer beware, i purchased a brand new home in North Port, paid top dollar (520,5K) near asking price (529.900K). Since purchase we discovered this contractor used sub par materials for the build. Most of his subs were craigslist specials. He used non compliant septic sand the septic backed into our home. He refused to pay for first clean out citing not his fault, I first notified Stillwagon and owner Hilt on 11/20/2023 of this issue. Finally today 03/08/2024 they are finally replacing the drain field with the proper sand. His employee damaged my fence upon removal because he was not trained on this procedure and he used the wrong tools to remove fence parts. Whenever they sent out their handy man Eddie to investigate issues he would always say I'm not the one that did but I will let Joe and Lester know. Bottom line he refuses to make repairs on items we are requesting to have repaired. Eddie installed our flooring over top of a faulty sub floor damaged when cut out for slider doors. Eddie then tried to fix the issue by sliding shims under the flooring causing the floor to warp near the door. He also removed the trim alond flooring and door and hasn't finished the job. This needs to have the flooring removed, damage repaired, then reinstalled. He refuses to do so citing the cost of repairs. Our well pump failed on labor day weekend. Failure was caused by installing too small of a pressure tank adequate for a house of this size. He did take care of the well same day. But since it has been like pulling teeth trying to get any resolution or fix issues in the home. Our shower door heavy glass was barely hanging on by 1 screw coming out of the wall. It took over 7 months to get  this safety issue resolved. We have windows that either do not stay open or get moisture inside of them, The windows are of poor quality and not even made anymore. To date he refuses to repair or replace the faulty windows.

 Yes the property was inspected however, no inspector would have noted the inadequate sand packed with clay underground. Every complaint occurred after purchase. This is not my first Rodeo, I've purchased 3 new homes prior to this one. No contractor has ever treated me like this guy. He wasn't even qualified to sell VA until his realtor lumped through hoops and over a month to get what normally takes 7 days

 BEFORE you signed the contract to buy this house and thus spend over $500k, did you have this place INSPECTED by an inspector YOU supplied? Secondly, what did your attorney say when you told him/her about these deficiencies? That would be the attorney YOU PAID to represent you as you were about to spend, as you say, over $500k???
