The most useless goddamned Agency (after the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau) is the New York State Department of Financial Services, run by Adrienne Harris, which is as useless as t**s on a bull.

Sometimes I believe that these agencies were created only for the purpose for the U.S. government to appear like they give a d**n about the massive corruption, antitrust/monopoly violations, civil rights abuses, wholesale theft of their customers’ money, deceptive business practices, outright fraud, and other federal and state criminal behavior of America’s (and other countries) biggest banks, insurance companies, real estate companies and other financial behemoths wreaking havoc in New York City.

The only thing that happens when an aggrieved person files a complaint after getting royally raped by one of these massive financial behemoths is that he gets a “case number,” which is about as useful as toilet paper.

Because after that, nothing of any consequence occurs.

First of all, it takes months to even get an investigator assigned to your case (usually after your crisis has already gone to conclusion with you left without your money or just holding your nuts).

Second, all these bastards at NYS DFS do is send a copy of your complaint to the financial behemoth company, where it gets squashed like a bug by the 1000 man law firms getting paid thousands of dollars per hour to whack your complaint so far out of the ball park, that you will never see it again.

Third, if and when you DO get a response to your complaint, you will find (just like with the other equally useless New York State Agency, the NYS Division of Human of Rights) that your “investigator” not only did not do any goddamned research or work to help you or your case, but is simply more like a f*cking waiter in a s**+**y restaurant who hands pieces of crap back and forth between you and the financial company.

The dumbest most useless investigators there in our opinion are Vincent Pettica, Jacob Shargal, Anita Gupta, Clivell Wilson, Joel Echavarria, Carol Ripps, Steven LaRock, Tammy Burgess, Victor Ko, Lisa Bugaj, and many other grade A morons.

In fact, one could argue that the complete and total laziness of these NYS DFS employees serves the financial companies more than the complainant, because all they do is help get these complaints “sh*t canned” and prematurely closed.

Your novel is missing one thing, what was the specific issue that you were trying to get them to resolve?

You say that they just send it to the company, but then you then list 10 "Investigators". You say that the companies ignore the request and don't respond, but then you say the response they send is worthless.

Have you ever thought that perhaps your "complaint" isn't actually valid?
