Download your invoice and check your charges when you order and download software online, as some of the best software providers use unscrupulous billing companies.  I was recently de-frauded by one such company, upclick.com, listed on my bank website as avq-software.com.  It is a Delaware LLC used by PDFARCHITECT to bill customers.

PDFARCHITECT does a terrible job when converting PDF files to Excel.  I immediately (1/26/24) used their website to request a refund of the amt I paid, which was $31.20.  Found a charge at my bank for $61.05.  Downloaded the invoice: someone had added 3 additional items at $9.95 each, none of which I ordered or ever would order.

Received an email on 1/29 saying they are very busy and cannot get to my request for some time.  Product has a 30-day refund guarantee.

Replied with a nasty-gram reporting the over-charge and demanding my refund.

As a computer professional since the 1970s, I support open-source software providers.  Though I and my clients use an excellent related product, PDFCreator, nearly every day, PDFArchitect does not work as advertised. 

Somehow, Sourceforge.net (the parent open-source platform) got involved with a billing operation that has added added charges to my invoice and will not refund my money.

PDFCreator acts as a printer, sending print jobs to a PDF file for one's computer.  I find it indispensable, but the related product, PDFArchitect, is pure junk, and their billing contractor appears to use illegal tactics to over-charge the customer, then refuses to repay in a timely manner.
