Prestige Property Solutions, LLC John Farrar Took money without doing work. Canterbury Connecticut

I hired John Farrar and Prestige Property Solutions, to do a basic landscape job at my property.  It entailed simple land clearing, stump grinding, spreading loam and planting seed.  John and I, along with one of his associates looked over the job.  He then went into his truck with his associate to calculate a price.  John returned with a hand written proposal. 

He said he could get started in one week if I gave him 50% down at that moment.  Cash, check and credit cards were accepted.  I looked over the proposal.  The price to do the entire job, including materials, was $4,250.00 including tax.  I thaught the price was reasonable, so I gave him a check for $2,125.00. 

John looked at me, shook my hand and said he will be back to begin work in one week.  One week had passed with no word from John.  I began to call and text him with no response.  It has been 6 weeks since my initial encounter with John.  I have not been able to get a returned call or text.  I called my bank and tried to put a stop payment on my check, but the check had already cleared my account. 

It is safe to assume I have been RIPPED OFF by John Farrar and Prestige Property Solutions.  I filed a police report with the State Police.  He is now under investigation.  I hope, if you are reading this, you have not, or will not, hire Prestige Property Solutions or John Farrar.  You will be sorry.  He is a thief and a scammer.  Please tell everyone you know to stay away from, John Farrar and Prestige Property Solutions.  You'll be glad you did.
