Airline ticket had nickname on it, not matching passport. Called Pricleine for 2 hours for support. Most of time no one answers. Making contact on July 27, 2023 first operator says I need to call Delta who is the flight. I am Delta, they say it is who created the ticket is who has to change it. Operator says, "I need to call Italy, the 2nd ITA plane that I will be going on, and gives me that number." I call the number given- no such number. Call back Priceline, a different operator answers says call Delta, I explain what Delta already said. 2nd operator tells me to call Priceline number he gives me, that number no one answers after 20 minutes. I call back previous number for Priceline, 3rd operator tells me that it will take eight days to change the name on my ticket.

I also had a ticket directly through Delta for another trip when I came back from this one. They answered quickly, put me on hold for 2 minutes and changed my name for free without any charges or loss. Lesson learned- 3rd party companies find ways to not support and gouge customers. I also will fill out a compliant for the insurance company Allianz travel protection which I bought premium offer on the airline flight to Italy through Priceline. They responded cancelation was not acceptable for cancelation reasons.

To my knowledge the only way an airline would allow name changes on a ticket is to buy another ticket. And it seems pretty obvious to use your legal name rather than some other name to book travel. And yes, DON'T USE ONLINE TRAVEL AGENTS. Book directly with an airline or use a real travel agent.

YOU DON'T NEED ANY OF THIS THIRD PARTY TRASH! Nothing has changed in the reservation business. You pick up your phone and make ALL your reservations directly. None of these third parties are worth it. If you would have done that this time, you wouldn't be having this problem now.
