Purlisher's Clearing House Dave Sayer Wanted to meet with me privately to give me the prize New York Port Washington

I received a phone call from someone saying they were Dave Sayer of Publishers Clearing House and that I had won $4.5 million dollars, a new Mercedes or $91,000 cash and $10,000 a month for life. 

He wanted to know if I was married, if I owned my own home and what I did for a living.  He then suggested the prizes should be delivered in person as if you choose publicly the whole world knows you won and it isn't safe.  I said privately and when I said there would be about 6 people here with me (I knew that would be a deal breaker) if we met he said that any other person would make it not be private and I couldn't receive the prizes.  He hadn't asked for my address yet or I would have ended the call at that point.  I don't give out my full name, address or any government or financial information over the phone. 

I know that there are so many of these scams about Publisher's Clearing House but I think this one could have been dangerous and not to my pocketbook.  I am going to notify our local police department because I am sure that there are some who would meet with him thinking they were winning so much money. 

His voice was weird but he gave me an address for the company and referenced the Prize Patrol.  The information sounded like it could be legit and I did enter their sweepstakes.  Until he would only meet privately I was playing along without giving him my information, figuring it wasn't real, but who knows.
