My friend & I saw an ad on Facebook about duct cleaning for $250 with a $50 off & free dryer vent clean out if booked in January. The company is Purple Ducts Utah. They advertise a free inspection, pictures before and after of the ducts, steam cleaning & sanitizing return air ducts, and a bunch of other stuff that they don't do.

When the guy showed up he looked in one air return & took pictures with his phone. He then proceeded to tell me I needed a deep clean & it costs more, like double. I said ok, he brought in a negative air machine (?). He proceeded to clean out the return vents & the heat vents with a hand held steam cleaner.

I asked him how he would get the air machine to my 2nd floor, he said he would just use a shop vac. Nothing was used to actually go into the vents, just surface stuff. The machine didn't seem to do anything. He used the shop vac to clean my dryer vent from the dryer up & did not clean all the way to the outside. 
I never saw before & after photos. 

I gave them a bad review online & complained to the Facebook guy. They said they had no evidence of me being a customer & to send my phone number etc. I emailed them on the webpage with my number, name, dates, etc, no response. I have since edited my reviews several times asking them to contact me. I reported them to the better business bureau, I cannot find a business license in the state of utah for them. 

My friend signed up at the same time & hers was worse. He didn't even take photos at her house.  She contacted them through the Facebook messenger complaining about the photos, they responded, it's not a wedding. She also stated they used shop vacs, they responded she doesn't know what she's talking about.

They have since shut down the messenger & we can't comment on their Facebook page. They also deleted her review on google.  We will continue to pursue getting some kind of response, any help you can give would be appreciated.
