RealSC Pro Promotional Campaign

The company, RealSC Pro told me if I used their promotional services on SoundCloud, a music playlist platform, the streams would qualify for royalty purposes.

I very clearly, in writing, told them I did not want nor need promotion for ranking purposes but I wanted promotion for royalty generation.

RealSC Pro, by a man named Martin, told me the plays fall within the parameters of SoundCloud's royalty generation requirements ie:

1.) No Bots

2.) No API's

3.) No Embedds

4.) Geo-Targeted to royalty-paying jurisdictions ie: USA, Canada, Ireland, UK, Portugal, Spain, France, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, Switzerland, Austria, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Italy, Australia, and New Zealand.

I paid for services for the month of July generating more than 711,000 plays/streams, and approximately $2,337 USD in potential royalties, however, SoundCloud/Repost has come back and refused to pay any royalties on the plays stating they did not qualify. SoundCloud mentioned in an email they would reconsider the situation if RealSC Pro provided data on how they generated the plays. I asked RealSC Pro for the information which they complied and sent the information to me which I subsequently forwarded to a Phil at SoundCloud.

After a few days, Phil contacted me back and told me to stop paying RealSC Pro for any promotional services as the plays do not qualify for royalties. I asked Phil for data regarding, how SoundCloud came to the conclusion the plays did not qualify, but Phil refused to provide it. I gave RealSC Pro a copy of the email and asked them to contact SoundCloud to clear up any misunderstanding. Martin from RealSC Pro indicated an Alexander Ljung, the founder of RealSC Pro would contact SoundCloud via email. I asked to be cc'd on the email but I have yet to receive any copy. Additionally, Martin mentioned he would have me talk with a woman and a man that contracted RealSC Pro for promotional work and were paid royalties from SoundCloud but to date has not provided any information in that regard.

Only use RealSC Pro as a ranking promotional company do not use them to generate royalties. The company and the individual named Martin lied or at the very least were grossly misinformed when they told me the plays/streams qualified for royalty payouts. None of the plays qualified. Because SoundCloud is 60 days behind on their royalty payouts I only have the July statement however, I do not expect to be paid for the August plays generated from RealSC Pro of approximately 5,186,406 plays/streams equating to approximately $ 16,985 USD or the September plays/streams of approximately 6,238,648 equating to approximately $ 20,431 USD.

Once again the artist is left in the middle holding an empty bag but it is all the more painful because I had to pay for the promotion out of my meager savings; lesson learned.
