Residence Inn By Marriot Fort Lauderdale Coconut Creek BON VOY POINTS SCAM! Coconut Creek, Fort Lauderdale

Marriott's Bonvoy Point System has been nothing but a nightmare for me and my family. We recently stayed at the Marriott Residence Inn in Coconut Creek, Florida for over three and a half months while our home was being renovated. The bill came out to around $40,000, and we expected to earn some Bonvoy Points as part of our loyalty program. However, trying to recoup those points has been a miserable experience that I feel the need to warn others about.

Our insurance company modified our claims to make accommodations, and we chose Marriott based on our positive experiences with the brand in the past. We thought that staying at a Marriott hotel would help us see some light in an otherwise dark situation. However, our stay at the Residence Inn in Coconut Creek quickly turned into a nightmare.

First of all, our bill was outrageous. We had a $70,000 mold policy, and it cost us $45,000 to stay at the hotel for a few months. We were hit with hidden fees and other charges that we were not expecting. But even worse than the exorbitant bill was Marriott's complete refusal to honor our Bonvoy Points.

We repeatedly followed up with Marriott's customer service team, but they were incredibly rude and unhelpful. They asked us to purchase points, even though we had chosen to stay at the hotel specifically because of the points we expected to earn. It was a classic bait-and-switch tactic, and we felt utterly betrayed by Marriott's marketing ploy.

In the end, we were unable to recoup any of the points we had earned during our stay. It was a frustrating and time-consuming experience that only added to the stress of our already difficult situation. And it's not just us - if you look at reviews of Marriott hotels nationwide, you'll see how many other customers have had similar experiences.

Marriott's Bonvoy Point System is a weak marketing ploy that is not worth the frustration and disappointment it causes. If you're considering staying at a Marriott hotel, I urge you to think twice and consider other options. The hidden fees and lack of customer service make it a terrible experience that is not worth the loyalty points. Also, how do they explain $349.00 a Night For a MOTEL on the side of a highway?
