The Rug Life Deceptive/Dishonest Descriptions and Unfair Terms and Conditions Mechanicsburg/Richmond Virginia

I was on Liveauctioneers.com looking for items.  I saw a small Remington bronze reproduction.  It was offered by The Rug Life in Mechanicsburg/Richmond Virginia.  There were pictures that looke OK, and a written description that said it was in "Excellent" condition, so I bid and won it for about $330 or so.

When it arrived, I opened it up and the base of it was full of old glue and metallic remnants from where the nameplate had been removed.  It looks like something that came out of the garbage.  I called John Jureidini, the owner of the LLC, immediately, and he said "too bad, that damage is in the pictures, and the pictures are part of the description under the Trems and Conditions of Sale."  I then looked at the pictures, and the damage was not readiy apparent, because he had intentionally hidden it by pointing a bright light at the base of the bronze that reflected a bright shine to hide the damage that would have been apparent, if he hadn't intentionally hidden it wth the bright light.

Then I told him that your ad said it was in "Excellent" condition.  Too bad he said, the Terms and Conditions say that any such description is just an opinion.

He and his wife who own the LLC brag in one of their ads that they are second generation rug and antique dealers.  Well all that experience has given them the experience to develop every dishonest trick in the book to scam their marks.  

Their Terms and Conditions also require any dispute to be resolved in their local court.  I am suing them there for treble damages under the Virginia Consumer Fraud statute.  He also told me that if I put up an unfavorable consumer report like this one, he would sue me for libel and take my house from me.  Can you believe this scammer?  His wife is in on it too, because in one of here writings on the internet she says with a wink, "We tell potential buyers about all the problems with a piece either in writing or in the picture."  She says that because she knows they will post deceptive pictures that intentionally hide severe damage, and deceptive descriptions to complete their scams.
