I leased this vehicle from 10/9/21 - 10/16/21. The RV was dropped off in Forsyth, GA on 10/9/21 and I drove the RV with my wife and granddaughter to the 1st location about three 3 hours away to Hilton Head Motor Coach Resort, SC. As soon as we pulled onto the interstate, we realized that the refrigerator was moving around so we reached out to RVshare to get guidance on what to do.

RVshare was unresponsive so I asked the Motor Coach Resort for a referral to an RV Service Center in the area that could inspect the RV. The resort staff referred me to RV 1, in Bluffton SC PH# 843-291-3722. Two service technicians came to the resort to inspect the RV and stated that the brackets that secured the refrigerator were not installed in the factory or an authorized Coachmen dealer. They stated that the RV should have never been leased until the refrigerator was properly secured.

I returned the RV back to the designated drop of location 4 days early on 10/12/21. The service technicians secured the refrigerator with a cargo strap so we could drive it safely back to GA. The RV was not safe to operate, please see the following complaint sent to RVshare regarding the issues we had with the RV:

I am placing RV Share on notice that you have individuals leasing vehicles on the RV Share platform that do not meet basic highway safety guidelines and/or pose a serious risk to its passengers and the general public. This is not an opinion of mine but this information comes from verbal and written statements from the RV Service Center in Hilton Head, SC. We made repeated attempts through RV Share to have someone come to inspect the RV to see if it was safe to drive and they were non-responsive. Since I was unable to have Mr. and Mrs. Singh provides the assistance necessary to see if the RV was safe to move, I contacted an RV Service Center in Hilton Head, SC.

The RV Service center was provided by the Hilton Head Motor Coach Resort. They came to the Resort to inspect the RV bracket system that secured the refrigerator and said that the brackets were not original equipment. The RV Service Center technicians said that the system that holds the refrigerator in place had been modified and that, in both of their professional opinions it had been worked on several times prior to us leasing it. The RV technicians made notations on the invoice regarding the bracket systems that secure the refrigerator and also stated that they would be glad to speak with anyone that had any questions about the work they performed on the RV to secure the refrigerator.

The RV service technicians told both my wife and I that we were extremely fortunate that the refrigerator did not fall out of place and cause death to a passenger and/or serious damage to the RV. The RV Service Technicians in Hilton Head also added a cargo strap to secure the refrigerator so we could drive it safely back to the designated drop off location in GA. We were so concerned about the safely operating the RV that we made the very difficult decision to return it to the designated drop off location 4 days early. We then had to change our reservations in the Fort Wilderness Walt Disney Resort from an RV site to a cabin.

I am putting RV Share on notice in this message that Mr. and Mrs. Singh have and may still be leasing vehicles on the RV Share platform that do not meet federal and state guidelines and/or pose a serious risk to its passengers and the general public. If RV Share continues to allow Mr. and Mrs. Singh to lease vehicles on its platform this action could lead to serious injury and/or death.

1. Due to the fact that the bracket systems that secure the refrigerator were broken and/or defective and according to the RV Service Center technicians in SC had not been serviced by an authorized RV service center. The service technicians stated with confidence that Mr. and Mrs. Singh would have had to have knowledge of the company or individuals that performed the repairs and/or modifications to the systems that secure the refrigerator.

2. I am requesting any records from Mr. and Mrs. Singh that document what individual and/or company modified the bracket systems that secure the refrigerator. There is overwhelming evidence that this RV should have never been leased to anyone until the systems that secure the refrigerator were repaired by a Coachmen Authorized Service Center.

3. The RV center in SC stated that the makeshift brackets, loose bolts and other attempts to secure the refrigerator failed prior to us taking possession of it.

4. I am asking RV Share to suspend Mr. and Mrs. Singh sign in credentials that would allow them to lease vehicles through the RV Share website until a complete investigation of all of the evidence collected in this matter have been completed.

It is our position that Mr. and Mrs. Singh knowingly leased a vehicle on the RVshare platform that did not meet federal and state safety guidelines and was and/or may still be leasing vehicles through the RVshare website, posing a safety risk to its passengers and the general public. RVshare has an obligation to investigate these claims and collect as much evidence as you are reasonably able to request. It would be prudent for everyone involved in this matter to provide any and all information in a timely matter to back up any and all statements made to date regarding the condition of the RV at the Pre-Trip and the Post-Trip inspection intervals.
Service call notes from the RV 1 service technicians:

Diagnostics refer moving out of cabinet found bottom bracket bolts loose and came out of hole set also had loosened wall. I replaced bolt and set back into bracket refrigerator still moving around too much for travel so I gave them a strap and showed how to secure. There is no access to rear of refrigerator and that needs to be secure. Also, you can tell brackets have been moved once before.
