SixT Rent A Car Swindled by a Damage Claim Fort Lauderdale P.O. box 8188

This company is pure predatory snake oil. It's so rare for me to write a review like this, but right now I just feel fortunate to have the money to cover doing "business" with them. I was never given the opportunity to look the car over for damage, and shame on me for not making a video.

During the time I drove the car, it didn't make contact with anything but the road. The condition of it was not perfect, but not bad either. A few weeks after I returned it, I received a damage claim stating that there was a scratch on the hood down to the primer, to the tune of 4xx.00.

My thought process was, this didn't happen while I was in the car, but I was certainly willing to take responsibility if it happened after I left the facility. I asked for before photos (since the after photos appeared to be automated) and I got no response.

I called once a week for 10 weeks and never got a person. Now, their system just says they are having technical difficulties and hangs up on you. I sent four emails requesting a conversation with someone and only received replies with the original email and damage claim.

Today I just paid it, because it's not worth my time or money to hire an attorney or go to collections. My theory is that if they don't respond for 180 days, they can just sell it as debt to collectors. Please please, do not rent from this company.
