If David Lasalle Gabriel has contacted you regarding his compilation cd, beware! This guy has frauded hundreds of independent artists. He claims that he will broker deals to get your music in movies, television, commercials, ect.

If you notice, all of the artists "signed" to SLR have photos with no names. He doesn't want to disclose the names of artists so that they cannot be contacted nor contact each other.

Do not send him money! You will not get what he promises you nor will he return your money.

There are hundreds...maybe thousands of starving artists who are being frauded everyday to support his lavish lifestyle...Beware!

outsider looking in, this is just silly lmao

find it funny that if you're a song writer, artist, whatever you are.....didn't take this dude to court.  Who takes to message boards to try to call someone out and then you don't even use a name, is this a past lover situation. lol  If this was real, you'd deal with this in court not message boards.  Court is where you get your victory and real situations are recorded on court records, not message boards lol.  I suggest you goto court, cause all this makes you look a psycho jaded lover with no real backing to go to court.  What just makes this whole thing look odd is that you don't leave a name and then you get hung up on a typo.  I make typo's all the time, when i type too.  lol  i found "pay UP' funny too. who is he supposed to pay up to? if it was real, a judge would order someone to pay up lol

john or jon?

after rereading the rebuttal posted by mr blumenthal, i realized that he had spelled his first name two different ways. in the rebuttal it is spelled Jon but in the heading it is spelled John....it is a small thing but something to consider because who really spells their first name wrong? leads me to believe that david lasalle gabriel is probably making up names to post in his support. anyway, regardless if mr blumenthal had a lapse of memory remembering how to spell his first name, the fact of the matter is that SLR records is not a true entitity. all you have to do is search for bands on the label and look what they have written about the release date of the compilation. 2010,2011, 2012......there is no compilation

you have many enemies

AUTHOR: unknown - (United States of America)

dear mr. blumethal-

i am one of many acts that have been contacted by the individual you are referring to in your rebuttal. the author of this initial report is not from her but from another act that mr gabriel has defrauded. it is almost impossible to use your real name when dealing with such a criminal as mr gabriel. he will make up more and more lies and then make some asinine comment which you have echoed, such as " they are an enemy of the company." well, it is easy to make enemies of the company when you have given the CEO substantial amounts of money for things such as commercials and compilations that you were told would be released years ago. believe me, the company, and now yourself due to your involvement with mr. gabriel, have many enemies

after being reached by more than ten acts that have all but given up hope for their contract to be fulfilled, it is clearly evident that SLR records is a fake entity that exists primarily to defraud artists out of money they desperately need to promote their careers and pay their bills. it is almost impossible to believe that someone such as mr gabriel, who uses a fraudulent resume and has no form of professional contact availability except an 800number that wont accept blocked numbers, has anyone working for him. my suspicion is that you are somehow involved in his scheme.

everything about the operation is suspect: no website, no IMDB listings( although his resume states that he is a major contributor to many film and television works), no charted singles at Billboard.com, nothing on itunes, except for sami stevens and that is only one song(possibly the worst one ever written.) a simple internet search of SLR records or mr gabriel, even before his recent problems with angry east coasters, never resulted in any real information about a career in the music business. what i can say is this though; if you worked with david, as have i, you know he is a fraud, just ask the last promoter you had working for SLR. or you could ask the so called members of one of his grammy award winning acts such as the sounds of blackness, who in an email state that he had nothing to do with any of their works that were grammy nominated.

last but not least, i did see your name as i was combing through all the data i have compiled. if you are indeed involved with the company, then you are also responsible for ripping me off and i will hold you just as financially accountable for the repayment of our funds. wise up jon and pay up

Allison from Kansas" (supposed author of the complaint)

AUTHOR: johnblumenthal - (United States of America)

POSTED: Saturday, July 28, 2012

My name is Jon Blumenthal, I worked as the Head of Business Affairs for SLR Records from the time it was founded in 2002 until June of 2012. It was my job to consult and review all contracts and agreements before they were signed by the principals of SLR including but not limited to: SLR's 7 million dollar strategic partnership with IBM, their distribution deal signed with WEA in 2005 and their 7 million dollar stock purchase of Flyte Tyme Studios from Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis.

Re: "Allison from Kansas" (supposed author of the complaint)

After a careful and thorough review of all files, hard drives, CD-Roms, and postal logs, I can attest that no one at SLR nor any of its principals, managers, or executives ever worked with anyone by the name of Allison at any time, whatsoever.
Nor were there ever any songwriters, producers, musicians, vocalists, consultants, recording artists, or promoters that worked for SLR by the name of 'Allison' during the company's entire history.

Further, SLR has never done business of any type with the State of Kansas nor anyone residingin the State of Kansas, period. Therefore this individual ("allison") is a fake, and the complaint is also fake! As to the preposterous claim regarding "hundreds of starving artists" SLR Records has issued fewer than 20 recording contracts over the course of the company's entire history. This is simply ridiculous!

The origin of this bogus complaint points to a stalker currently being investigated by SLR who may be part of a smear campaign currently in play by competitive enemies of SLR hoping to derail the ongoing negotiations of SLR's new strategic partnership. However, please be advised that SLR prosecuted a stalker from the east coast in 2010 for similar behavior, and that individual was later arrested and served time in jail.

Thank you,
 Jon Blumenthal
