smart security/onit home misrepresented, sold system that didnt function, took advantage of senior citizen in a bad situation hurst texas

they came to my house while my daughter were discussing a problematic situation with someone who tried to jimmy my front door. kinda weird, but here was this guy..unsolicited..at my door, and promised us the most up to date, top of the line, best ever security system i could hope for with the best system support known to mankind.

I wanted my son , who installs FOR REAL top of the line stuff to check this out but he was out of state, and my daughter said to just go ahead. After the "install" the cameras didnt work, there were extra parts left on my counter, and all i had was machine on the wall in my hall with a voice telling me every time i opened my garage door that ...i had opened my garage door.

My son made it by a couple days after and pointed out that the "system" i paid top dollar for was the exact same model i could get myself (with cameras that actualy work) at walmart for a hundred dollars. so i went and looked..he was right. i called these scammers the very next day and told them to come and get their misrepresented crap outta my house. they said nope..you own it.

This was only a few days after install mind you. whoever was on the other end listened to my complaint and said they would be in touch. right. there are several numbers you need to have on hand to contact the "onit " group. none of them know anything. i flat told them i would pay the hundred bucks for the piece of junk in my house, and offered to pay for the guy that put it in but i want it gone. nope.

They simply said i had signed a five year deal and if i didnt pay, they would attack my credit. so, they did. and now i am attacking their misrepresentation, poor customer service, and poor choice of equipment and duping seniors into believing their line of crap.
