Steve McPherson (the Semi-Pro Golfer) is a life-long Con Man. His downfall is that he is a gambling junkie, a pathalogical liar, a fantastic talker/con. All of his business ventures failed in bad debt, even at the expense of the parents of college kids that he coached at Olympic College in WA. He was and is clearly addicted to betting on the horses at Del Mar, CA (he was ousted from Santa Anita, CA). His Golf Course of choise is Soboba Springs Golf Corse, CA and he lives in Hemet, CA. He also has a shell company in Hemet (to satisfy his expensive taste in costly booze $200-$440 ea), its called Racing Expressions LLC, the labels are Horse Track related. In recent years he has been soliciting elders and the naive of their hard earned savings while playing in Senior Golf Tournaments throughout California and surrounding states such Las Vegas NV, Olympic WA, Port Townsend WA, Eugene OR, Arizona, Texas, San Luis Obispo CA, Santa Barbara CA, Ojai CA, and Orange County CA. Prior to his divorse, in 1995 he and his wife conned several people out of $165,000 which was used to pay off their bad debts, not the intended investment of a Golf Course Venture in Port Townsend WA. Steve, aka Stevie Mac, Steven Mack, etc., didn't stop there. Between 1997-2002 he swindled another $125,000, then another $35,000, he continued throigh 2008 and 2009 for his horse betting debt. He was indited for 7 felony counts and fled his sentencing ordered by the Judge in court. When busted again in Las Vegas for bad checks, he was extradited back to San Luis Obispo, CA by the DA. He was back in jail for some time. In 2021 he was sued for debt by the Thoroughbred Association in Texas and in 2022 managed to get another $200,000 from individuals at the Del Mar Track and the Ojai Golf Course.
